The question was more in regards to the makers' reason rather than players trying to fix it themselves with mods and stuff which of course is likely impossible on consoles but even if it wasn't we shouldn't have to.

For the most part, ultimate count means nothing. The only skill where number matters is overload. Any other ult pops all ult that you have.

Yes but it would still be nice to at least know when our ultimate is maxed out at as you said 1000 by making the meter turn red or something.

That would be even more useless than a number counter. Hitting max ult is pointless and a massive waste and poor choice. Even using Overload you won't want to/need to cap.

Well that is your opinion because I for one DO prefer to use Overload with plenty of Ultimate stockpiled so I don't have to worry about it running out on me.

Yours is opinion when mine is the general rule. Overload is for if you run oom. Also, plenty is different than max. Second you hit max you start wasting ult.,have overload up too long, and you waste mana
We don't know the real reason they do the things they do. I speculate it's just laziness, but they will use words like "immersion" or "minimalist". You decide.UltimaJoe777 wrote: »notimetocare wrote: »Console? SOL.

It's important to know the number dude. If I have Overload slotted on my bar and I know that I need 250 for barrier it's nice to if I have reached that number without having to switch bars to check or to know how close I am. Still talking about barely a use. Overload is not that good of an ult compared to most others. Only times I have seen overload actually used is if a sorc goes oom or they want to be a nuisance in pvp. In the end only one thing matters, it is your fault for being on console for an mmo.
