Weapon Damage and Enchant.

Hey. I'm confused by the both of these. I have a weapon that does 500 damage + 100 Enchant. Would that make it 600/swing, or is it 400 damage+100 = 500?. I'm assuming it's the first.

Basically; does Weapon Damage count as the total, even if enchanted?

More or less, yes, the first one. Your weapon says it does 500 base damage. That's your weapon damage-- the damage caused by the weapon itself. Your enchantment adds 100 elemental damage. This is seperate from and in addition to your weapon damage. So, no, your weapon damage only accounts for the base damage of the weapon, regardless of enchantments. However, I'm fairly certain you won't get the +100 damage on every swing; it'll proc sometimes, but there's an internal cooldown period--a few seconds or so--in between each time it procs. You'll get the +100 damage intermittently; sometimes your weapon will deal 600 damage total (base damage + enchantment proc) and sometimes it'll deal 500 (base damage only). The "Powered" Trait (different from an enchantment, it's researchable) reduces the cooldown time for enchantments to proc, meaning an enchanted weapon with the Powered Trait will proc more often than an enchanted weapon without that trait.

Hope this answers your question and was insightful :)
