Stuck in Charge Bug

I've always heard of this bug but never experienced it until I started playing a Stamina Nightblade. I probably die 3 times a night to this and experience it 5 or 6 times in a few hours of playing. Has anyone as ZoS isolated or identified the cause of this bug and do we have an ETA on a fix?

After the second time dying in a fight I was winning otherwise to this bug I just logged off in frustration.

To clarify, are you speaking about the bug when you use 2H charge and then will be permanently stuck in the ground? Can't move at all unless you log out or at times an enemy can knock you out of it with an upper cut or something of the like? Because that bug is one of the most annoying bugs in all of PVP. Constantly dying because of that BS.

I find that whenever this happens, running in the opposite direction of the fight gives a 10% increase of survival.

I normally rotate through the usual list, one which would sometimes fix,

1) Press ESC twice
2) Rotate Break-Free with weapon swap spamming
3) Dodgeroll

As for identifying it, it only really happens in my experience from latency heavy scenarios ( my average latency is 170-250, critical being 9999 ) . Thus the above helpers may in fact be useless, and it is just in reality the server is catching up.

Yes this. Happens to me in crit-charge constantly although I think I've had it happen with Ambush once (which I usually don't use). You can crit charge again out of it if you have an acceptable target in range but when you're fighting a DK spamming whip on you or any other melee class the only thing you can do is spam fear and hold block.

Yeah thankfully I've never had this happen yet. As soon as the game gets laggy I just log off. I've better things to waste my time on than playing a slideshow.

1. Open up the crown store and click on the mount tab.
2. Preview a mount.
3. Spin your character around and exit crown store.
4. You can now move freely.

Had to do this twice yesterday.

You havent played a magicka Templar, apparently. Atleast, for 1.5 years till the bug was *somewhat* fixed.

This seems to happen to me when there is a 'line of sight' issue, normally charging uphill.

I was dueling Crassus when this happened to me and he kindly stopped the duel and told me how to fix it. Afterwards, he beat me pretty badly.

tbh crown store fixes alot of these issues. like perma CC usually is fixed with opening the crown store. i think its a ploy to get us to open it and see the new stuff

Ok. I figured you were just trolling an old AD enemy form Had. So...how in the world did Crassus figure that one out..although if there is one player in the game that could come up with something as totally weird as that it would definitely be him.

another way out if it is to charge a second time, its quite obnoxious if you kill the dude you charged at and didnt realize you were stuck in the ground. ill have to try that crown store mount fix next time instead of /stucking.

So rather than fix a problem ZOS has us go into the clown store to do a de-bug. Pretty sneaky way on their part to get us in there.

No but it took them over a year to fix the Bolt Escape bug where your bolt escape just stopped working completely. May as well be the stuck bug since it was almost always fatal and unlike the stuck bug the only way to fix it was to completely relog.

It usually happens to me when I do a mid-air charge from a bunny hop. Old sorc habits die hard ) =

That's OK I also had a 37K fall death fatality from a DK dragon leap yesterday too. So many bugs in the combat I can't take it and either rage or just log. I've broke far too many keyboards and mice playing this game.

Well maybe reporting the fix to ZoS will allow them to understand the problem.

I need to see if that fix works in the pit of doom hole in the water outside of Bloodmayne.

I have this stuck in charge animation mostly when there is a lag increase in Cyordiil, but then swap is delayed, some skills do not trigger etc. so i guess it is just lag related

Well, when you are stuck like that, it's not like you can do anything else but try strange and obscure button presses. Or mash the keyboard over and over and realize you became unstuck just after the crown store popped up.

That was my guess. I've had quite a few times during lagfests that I just mashed keyboard buttons. Lately tho I've pretty much moved into the "I no longer care" group.

Switching from a Stamina DK to Magicka in anticipation of 1.7 is quite a different playstyle. Gotta untrain myself from dodge rolling everywhere and begin to use Elusive Mist.

Some fun fights against you yesterday. Got stuck twice due to invasion and couldn't get out of ultimate dumps/siege fire. /sigh...

Tried this last night and it worked! Now if I could only make a macro to do that while in combat or something....most players aren't going to peaceably let me visit the crown store mid-combat ) =
