BINGO! That's exactly how I see DCUO, and I played it obsessively over two years and finally got so disgusted with development decisions that I finally walked away last fall. If ZOS want's to see the 'what not to do' in an MMO, take a look at DCUO!

The Console populations are going to take a major hit from players in November. COD Black Ops III, Fallout 4 & Star Wars Battlefront all come out that month. ZOS will be lucky if they have 20% of the Console population they have now still playing....

Really, really, really hope you're wrong.

I love ESO. Such a blast to play and lot of fun.

Yeah the "New Frost" mount is a little disappointing TBH. lol.. Same thing as the fire one with blue instead of red... Man I hope this isn't a sign of the creativity ZOS has for a cash shop because if it is.. The servers will be shutting down if they are relying on shop sales to keep the game alive..

Will add though that there isn't anything coming out that I am looking at playing. I have been waiting for ESO for years, but I hope ZOS turns things around soon because unlike myself most console players do not have the patience that I have and most certainly will be leaving if things do not improve.



:Edit: Having played ESO PC and my console preorder being paid in full since may of 2014 at GameSpot I can truly say I am shocked to see the game in the shape it is in. If it would have provided a better game and more content I would have gladly paid for a sub fee on the console.

Sadly it is starting to feel like the DEV team just gave up after they announced pulling the sub fee. Between that and ZOS losing almost half of the employees before they should have clearly has left the game in survival mode...

I could see myself going back to NeverWinter if things go south with ESO. I know a lot of people say bad things about it, but honestly for a console MMO it is surprisingly decent lol.

If Neverwinter was first person I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Sadly, third person games just not interest me anymore.

I read on reddit that Fallout 4 would feature always online DRM to improve user experience and enable players to purchase bottle caps (100 for 1 dollar) to buy in game items such as shotgun shells or badass leather jackets. So, ZOS will have to improve their crown store considerably to counter it. Perhaps they could add jumpsuit costume.

For some people it will take them days, and there will be complaints about Fallout being short, etc as they miss half the content. Then they will be back. Others will sit and enjoy it hardcore, or switch around between games, but they will be complete. You'll see them again eventually.

With Skyrim it took me 5 months for the base game, because I like to milk every last bit of content. Oblivion GOTY it took about 4. Even in ESO, I was level 32 before I entered the level 30+ area. It just depends on what people want to get out of those others.


It takes about 8 hours to finish a COD game single player, but does anyone really care? Really? It comes out before Fallout. There will be people playing multiplayer, some if which (with any luck) will stay there a while.
