Building a Battlemage Sorcerer

I'm just getting started on an alternate character. Playing a High Elf sorcerer and my goal is high dps, close combat pvp with survivability.

Some thoughts so far I was wanting feedback on are:
I'm training two handed now with goal of getting Momentum/Rally as a skill (for damage/heal) then plan to switch to dual wield. Will this work well? See no limitation on Rally skill.

Was thinking dual wield / destro flame staff. Wanting to get up close, do damage, and use the destro staff knock back if needed and bolt out of trouble.

I'm training and using 5 light/2heavy on armor now and aesthetically it looks good for a battlemage. Would medium armor be better tho with focus of crits?

Any particular sorcerer line skills that morph well? So far haven't been impressed with the damage output of a lot of them but I'm still low level.

    Dual wield doesn't work for stamina Sorcerer. Because we are the only class, that has no spammable class ability like lava whip or biting jabs to profit from the damage of dual wield.

    2 handed is the only valid choice. Sorcerer has no offensive stamina ablities, but you can use bound aegis for 8% more stamina and dark deal for stamina resoration and critical surge for whatever it does. And for 2 handed, you will want wrecking blow as your main ability
