I'd like MORE options to change my looks, something on the line of the Wardrobe seen in Rift http://riftwardrobe.wikia.com/wiki/Wardrobe. Basicly, I'd like to make my character to look like a Warrior Priest

RIP WAR.

Oh, does anyone else think the armor sets in Warhammer online looked a 1000 times better than what we have ESO?

I would love this. I was blown away that ESO did not have an appearance slot/wardrobe system in the game. It seems like a staple of the modern MMO market... even some older games have updated to have the functionality. The lack of it here seemed really odd to me.

Even if it just allowed 1->1 changing, like 2h sword to 2h sword, heavy to heavy, medium to medium... just as long as I could pick WHICH heavy you saw, or WHICH 2h sword you saw, I'd be happy.

It was disappointing once I figured out how costumes would work when they first announced it back in 2014. I really do hope this is a feature they are planning on adding into the game. @ZOS_GinaBruno show us some love. :)

Was honestly surprised that this was never implemented here. It's a fairly common aspect in MMOs.

I posted in another thread about adding a transmogrification system (which would change the appearance of individual items), but this could be a really good way of doing it too.

Basically I'd just like the ability to choose the appearance of my equipment separately from the stats, instead of being stuck with the appearance that comes with the best stats currently available to me, and I'm not too bothered about the exact mechanics of the system.

Although I do think it's important that you should have to obtain the item at least once to be able to use it's appearance so there's no issue of people bypassing content. But that would be a requirement under this system, so that's fine.

I totally agree on this point, as a role player it a consistent hassle to switch between ones good looking armor and the mix and match gear i use for dungeons and such. You have the beginnings of an appearance tab through costumes, maybe expand that aspect to incoorperate designing ones own costume using skins you have access too.. but an appearance system is honestly something that can only benefit the game at this point. Look how everyone loved armor dyes! ( we still need those weapon dyes. cause purple swords at end game? bleh.)

For a similar appearance, I suggest the high elf heavy chest, imperial heavy pauldrons, and daedric light leggings with a nord maul.

The main issue with your suggestion is that it would detract further from crafters who have worked to get all the different styles

I like the idea of this, but the costumes in the crown store is a good way for ZOS to make money. So, I wouldn't be surprised if we never see the transmogrification feature come to the game. If this doesn't happen, I would at least like to be able to dye the costumes though.

Yeah I could do that but the problem is I would be using more heavy armor than I want and I would have to replace my Monster shoulders to get the look I want. This is the reason I want a wardrobe system where I can customize my character however I want.

Rift has a wardrobe system and it's free to play! There are dozen of other ways from them to earn money.

I would have thought it'd do the opposite by opening up more options. This way people could use a crafted set for the look even if they're using drops for the stats (e.g. all the people who think low/mid level crafted sets look better). Or the other way around - use a crafted set for the customisable stats and then drops in the appearance tab for their skins.

For example I'm currently using the trousers from Spindleclutch on my Templar because they're the best I've found so far (yes I'm still low level), but I hate that they look like a baggy sack wrapped around her legs. I'd love to be able to use the appearance from one of the crafted sets instead, but I can't currently craft ones with better stats.

As someone who has almost every single motif, I disagree. Having the style is one thing, but being able to use it is another. If I decide that the level 15-24 Bosmer heavy armor chest piece is the best looking there is, what can I do when I am getting my Veteran rank armor?

To solve your concern, though, perhaps you can only modify the appearance to something you have the motif for?

I would love to have this as well, but im afraid it wont be possible for 1 simple reason - it would make a motif system completely useless.

i agree with this 100% my latest alt is a templar caster using heavy chest and shoulders and the rest light. and my level 6 armor set i crafted looked way nicer then my level 16 set. The simple plate chest with nothing fancy going on. But now my higher level stuff has slightly more detail to it and the colors look more washed out and just kind of sad.
