Nb buff question

Okay so I learned that buffs that offer same major _____ don't stack.

Didn't know this when I spent points on buffs last night so now I have Drain Power buff from shadow(I think, or syphon) skill line, but I also leveled up 2h for momentum. My nb is dual wield and I don't like 2h gameplay and don't really want to use 2h even if just as backup, but for buffs I'll change my wantings.

Question here tho is, out of Drain power and Momentum, which would you choose and why?

I know momentum has heal over time but from what I read in Drain power description it seems as tho the buff can be restarted as long as I keep hitting.

Neither are morphed yet so Rally isn't a choice, I'm just wondering between those two unmorphed skills

They're adding the major brutality buff to one of the dual wield abilities soon (hidden blade).

The only difference between rally and power extraction is healing vs aoe damage, it's entirely personal preference. You already said you don't like 2h, so when there's other ways to get the momentum buff why use it?

Power extraction works exceptionally well with dual wield, give it a go. At this point, the only reason to go 2h is if you like using 2h.

I didn't know stacks didn't buff (no ingame text saying so) so I spent last few days leveling 2h and just hated it but I carried on for the momentum buff. But if the aoe is better than the heal then f*ck 2h

Do you know which hidden blade morph will add major brutality? Or is it just added buff and not morph dependent? I currently have the aoe hidden blade but don't use much so don't mind changing morph

They didn't say which morph but I'm assuming both will get it. I'd suggest switching to flying blade though, 28m range and it does a lot more damage.

Personally I use 2h on my nightblade, but I love how 2h feels and it fits my character.

I just picked the aoe cuz I don't really have aoe's but then again I don't really use so....yea...I'll try out other morph tho.
My nb is dw assassin, strikes from the shadows and kills quick. 2h can kill quick but become detected as soon as they use charge skill (was a little disappointed it broke invisible skill and no sneak attack) and this isn't Cheydinhal's dark brotherhood so no 2h assassin for me lol

Edit, for those who don't know, a npc assassin in cheydinal's dark brotherhood chapter (es4 oblivion), who was an Orc who used a 2h and heavy armor who pondered "why sneak? Kill kill kill"

For aoe put on blade cloak, run in with refreshing path/twisting path, spam power extraction until enemies are low on health, then use steel tornado as a finisher.

As far as 2h, I don't use the charge unless I'm pvping or doing group dungeons. Instead I open from stealth with wrecking blow (which will 1 shot almost anything), or use ambush if I can't get up close safely.

My build was featured on battlemasters corner titled "the berserker". It's changed quite a bit since then, but I like playing a less stealthy, more barbaric nightblade.

I respec'd and am doing dw on both bars, backup bar being buffs/aoe/dw skills

And...15 left over skill points after spec'ing absolutely anything I thought as helpful, had 110 skill points after respec lol, did not see that coming.,
