Unable to drink potions while in combat

So for the past weeks I have been having this problem on my DK. It seems only to happen in dungeons and only while in combat. I am unable to take any potions during combat...it just won't work even if I spam the button. Out of combat it works 100% fine. When I play my sorc it works fine as well - only on the DK does it have this problem. I run dungeons with guildies who also has DK's and are also experiencing the same thing. I have even mapped it to a different button.It's very annoying as without potions I run out of magicka. Does anyone else encounter this? It never used to happen before.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it is well known to occur.

I've noticed this too, and not all pots have the same problem, which is probably why you don't have the issue on your sorc.

In my anecdotal experience, multiple effect potions are the ones that behave strangely. Normal HP/STAM/MAG potions can be used any time, anywhere, except during their cooldown. In order to use multiple effect pots (tripots, spell dmg+spell crit, etc.) during combat I usually have to release every button - stand in place, no shield up, no attack - and only then can I use Q to drink them.

Some potions cannot be used while you are in animation as dodging or casting a skill.

I have tried just standing back while in combat and not using any skills and it would still not work. The pots I use are both normal vr5 magicka pots and vr5 spelldamage pots. It used to work perfectly fine up untill a few weeks ago. I have been playing since pc beta.

Oh hell this is old. My comment still stands though

For me on ps4, it's not just pots, it's everything. I have to repeatedly mash the same buttons, because half the time if I only hit it once, nothing happens.

And of course, repeatedly hitting the buttons normally causes it to accidentally go off twice.....
