I'm just thinking of it as a cosmetic overcoat of the werewolf model, same exact abilities and everything. I just find werewolves to be boring.

the kind of transformation will be resolved adopting the proper models and animations, but all may be reconduct to lycantropy, so the werewolf skill line should be renamed licantropy: is not a big deal.

I would like to see content, not even more fluff. We are missing fundamental game systems, let's get those done before we add yet another mount/skill line/custome what not.

Welwas for example.
Or boars; especially boars as they're spoken about in-game by bosmer as a mount they use.

In Dragonborn (Skyrim DLC) the rieklings (snow goblins sort of) ride boars called Bristlebacks.

After reading a bit into the ES lycanthropy lore, I saw that that are certain weremonsters that inhabit each of the provinces.

As said in this post here:

If they were to finish the rest of Tamriel, I would like them to put in these creatures as it makes more sense and it is lore-friendly.

Personally I would love to see the lycantropy react differently depending on character race... like, bretons go werewolf, nords werebear, orcs wereboar, argonians werecrocodile, etc...

I would actually like that, too.

But you should still have the choice to be whatever wereanimal you want, regardless of race. If you were lucky enough to find that animal, at least.
