Why are the right arms of most quest givers hurt?

It's become a running joke between my boyfriend and I that every time we come across a quest giver (at least in Ebonheart Part) is holding their right arm in pain. Is there some vast conspiracy going on, a cue for those people who have quest giver arrows turn off, or what? Quite humorous at least.

Hurt or Sore? I mean to me it looks like they are sore from holding a weapon with their right hand or from over **x-rated**...

What do you think questgivers are doing when you're not around. Obviously they're training for the 1-arm pushup Olympics.

Well why do you think they have to ask us to solve all their problems instead of doing it themselves?

I never thought about it before but you have a point, a lot of them do seem to use the same pose.

At the risk of invoking The Skyrim Joke (which may be inevitable anyway) the obvious explanation, given many of them are supposed to be quite capable fighters, is that they've been injured and are unable to complete the quest themselves.

They ran out of knee arrows.

They ran out of knee arrows.

Technically this predates Skyrim by quite a significant margin. Skyrim took place in the 4th Era while ESO takes place during the 2nd Era.

It started with sore elbows in the 2nd era, then crippling wind during the 3rd era and arrowed knees in the 4th era. With the next ESO game, NPCs will be sporting gimped feet.
