DK Dark Elf Mage Build

So here lately I have been trying to decide what I have wanted to do.... I am currently a vet 3 dark elf, with dual blades (I have became kinda bored). I am looking for something fresh with some magic damage, such as a destruction staff. I do not want to reset my skills though, however i can reset my attribute points. I have recently looked into some Dk builds for this but I don't know really what to do. I'm skeptical, I am wondering in the end will it be worth switching. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    You will most likely want to go dual inferno staves for this build.

    Typical skills on bar would be: sea of flames, molten whip/force pulse, engulfing flames, burning embers, inner light, eruption, molten armaments, fire ring. Ultimate of choice would definitely be Standard of Might.

    Gearwise: You want to go spell damage mostly to maximize the build. I also think that the Silks of the Sun set drops in vr2, if you plan on slow leveling, I'd go for that combined with torug's pact, and perhaps some magicka sustain set.

    I can tell you now that for endgame it is really, really worth it. DK firemage (particularly a Dunmer Firemage) is so fantastic to play, it's always a lot of fun (:

    The skills meld together so nicely, it's way worth it :D

    I have 13 points right now, you think I should put those in to those abilities? I seen in a build where ash cloud (morph) is also really effective. Will this be a well stand alone solo if need to be for questing? I also level quest fast because I will try to take care of world bosses, dungeons and etc. I should also wear all light armor?

    Eruption is a morph of Ash Cloud. You will want that skill, most definitely.

    For soloing, it would be safe to slot dragon's blood to at least have a heal in sticky situations, but for group content, go all damage.

    And yes, light armor always for a magicka build in PvE. I typically run 5 light/1 heavy/1 medium for my undaunted passives, but until you have undaunted 9 I would go light.

    I got those ablities but impulse. What would be a good switch skill set? On 1 I got inner light, force choke, lava whip, engulfing flames, and inferno morphed. Number 2 I got inner light, igneous flame, and extended chain.. I got dawn breaker and standard of might. I'm lost for the other two abilities beside impulse.

    Impulse is a must, as it's your main AoE as a firemage. I only slot chains for trash pulls in dungeons/trials. For other skills, would be molten whip, engulfing flames, burning embers, eruption, molten armaments, impulse, and your sea of flames and inner light toggles. Basically just work those into your two bars to suit your rotation.

    I am also a v3 fire mage; was previously stamina. I personally do 5 points health and the rest in magicka. I enchant all gear with heath for the damage that will inevitably get you. I can definitely say I'm having more fun as a fire mage and doing wayore dage in group content.

    i would go desto staff for aoe abilities cause of the extra damage u get from a fire based inferno. right now DW swords gives you the most spell damage as far as weapons go. especially if you go with a 2pc torug's pact which gives spell damage. do dw swords is best for your single target damage. obviously here you will rely completely on your class abilities as opposed to your weapon abilities.

    Oh god that's a horrible choice to enchant all gear with health. Don't do that. Firemages needs tons of magicka. Magicka is most important -.-

    as long as you have 20k health at endgame dump the rest into magicka

    There is no reason to enchant with HP. Almost all encounters save for Trial Hardmodes, vdsa and SO do you need more than 17-18k HP. This can be accomplished with 62/0/0 in attributes and all magicka enchants and eating blue food. When all is said and done with my gear I get 18k HP and 35k Magicka.

    Even when im doing Hardmodes and SO and I go to 20k HP im still sitting at 33k magicka. Point is you only need enough HP to not get one shot. EVERYTHING else goes into your damage (i.e. max magicka or spell damage).

    elemental ring (spam/DoT)
    sea of flames (switch on buff/DoT)
    eruption (long DoT)
    engulfing flames (short DoT)
    deep breath (heal/dmg)
    shooting star (ulti/DoT)
    single
    molten whip (spam)
    sea of flames (switch on buff/DoT)
    burning embers (short DoT/heal)
    strucrured entropy (Buff/DoT/heal)
    elemental susceptibility (once debuff)
    shifting standard (ulti/DoT)
