Writ daily scale by points

Roclat
Roclat
I haven't had any luck looking so I'll just ask. I'm looking for information on how many points spent in a trade skill = which tier of writ daily/hireling.

Or clarification I suppose. From what I understand...

0-# tier 1
#- # tier 2
#-# tier 3
Etc....

Looking to plan points spent and advancement without spending several hours experimenting.

By default, your character should already have 1/9 points in each crafting passive, which allows for the use of base materials.

So, in the following, "points" shall refer to points spent in the first skill of each crafting specialization (which is related to tiers).

Tier 1: 1/9 points (base materials)
*Technically no points were actually spent, but you will receive Tier 1 Items from writs*

    Tier 2: 2/9 points

    Tier 3: 3/9 points

    Tier 4: 4/9 points

    ...etc...

You can't dump points into a trade right away; there are level-locks, as in you must have your trade skill (not character) at a certain level before you can unlock higher level tiers. You can always progress to the next tier provided you have the trade skill requirement even if your player level is too low to actually use/equip items crafted in that tier; for example, you can't equip a Steel Sword until you're level 16 (player level), but if you have 2/9 in the Metalworking skill (allows use of Steel ingots), you can still craft a Steel Sword as a level 10 player (or whatever level you are).

I'd recommend just spending points in crafting as you reach the level requirements to use/equip gear in each tier.

what second player said, I'd add that you shouldn't move to the next tier right away, but instead wait until you have started to build up some of that material, or else you'll be going out on desperation craft runs blindly in areas you don't know to suddenly find 40 orichalcum, etc... at least, that's how I've been doing it and it works for me.

Thank you. I must misread or misinterpreted something. I appreciate the clarification!
