How do I increase ASSAULT and SUPPORT skills, definitively?

Hi, After a few days campaign both these skills quickly rose to level 3 and now both are static, even on the same bar length yet I am defending, attacking, healing, using masonary, tons of war machines, etc.

The only possible thing is that my "take this farm/keep" quests have not aligned with all this fighting, can someone please "go to town" in explaining how I can raise these skills, and for that matter my own campaign rank - which is also slow to move?

    -- additional...

I have blown so much money and alliance points on masonary and fixing castles in slow and expensive, what do I get for it ?

(apart from the obvious at assisting a particular siege defence), I didn't seem to get much XP and the emails from the general are dog****).

You gain both skill lines as you gain AP, or Alliance Points. You get these from killing players, capturing/defending keeps and resources and doing the quests. At the beginning the skill line increases faster, then it slows down by a lot. Same goes for your Alliance Rank, which also increases through AP.

You might want to consider getting an addon (if PC) that shows you how much AP you are gaining: usually all xp tracking addons also track ap. In time, you'll learn how to be more AP effective in your playtime.

Regular XP will increase Rapid Maneuvers. It's the only PVP skill I have, and I maxed it just by having it on my bar for questing, and not in Cyrodil. Can't say if the same applies to all skill. Hover over the skill bar, and you should see a tooltip about how it is increased.

I checked both my AP and just got 26 AP for one round of stonemasonary on an Inner Postern Wall. The same again and the Keep Wall. That seems standard for me.

Still unsure about how much it effected Assault or Support or Emporership (points).

    I'm on PS4 so I guess there's no app.

Farm AP. AP increases your rank. Every rank you get increases your skill-bars some in those two skill lines.

If you run your mouse over the "xp" bar for the alliance war trees, you should see current and max numbers to level. After alliance rank 3, progression slows down a ton.

yes, thanks, I've just made level 4 on both and they are DEFINITIVELY related to AP. As suggested above, I have also figured out what gets AP. Simply playing helps but highly efficient activity with endless sieges and skirmishes with wall masonary thrown in rakes in the points.

I am a PS4 user so I cannot see the numbers-to-level but I don't need that, I just need(ed) ideas and encouragement that I was going to progress. I am looking forward to SUPPORT 6 and the special.

    Thanks again, all of you.

all relative...30 day campaign is full for me and nobody plays 7 day resources. no ap gain for me.

You should max them both around alliance rank 15 there abouts unless someone has more definite info. Takes a while but no where near asking as it used to. I've gained more ranks in last month than I did in 6 months

Just to add keeps work on a body count. The more people that have died the more Ap and xp there is in the pool you can get 10k plus just by rocking up to a successful defence before the tick kicks in. Defence gives more than attacking, if no enemy players are present you get minimum 25 Ap per resource and 100 per keep/outpost. From what I gather when you kill a player the amount you get is based on how many they have killed since last death. Could be wrong on that one tho
