Collectables

What are collectables? What are they used for other than taking up space in your your inventory?

I was told items like the wolf fang necklace are part of a set for in game achievements. The collectables are a little confusing. The collectables don't have a very good description. No indication of what they are for. I don't know if anything can be done about it now, but having a list of the set in the description of the item would go a long way to letting players know what they are for. Much like armor and weapons that are parts of sets.

It's also very annoying that the items bind to the player when picked up. Once the item is bound, they take up space in the inventory with no additional effects. They can not be stored in the bank, traded or sold. (I was told that this is a glitch) the items are supposed to disappear from the inventory once they are used. And this will be taken care of in an upcoming patch. My question for this is what if you pick up 2 or more of the same item? There should be a way to trade and store collectables so you can help other players with their collectables achievements.

Double click them & they disappear. Collectables (trophies) tie in with achievements. Get more than one of the same, sell it to a vendor.

I think he's on console like myself. And yeah we can't do anything with them. The only option is to destroy them. I hope it is a glitch because they are starting to stack up and I don't want to destroy any of them

As was said, collectibles tie in with achievements and dye rewards. Check your achievements tab in your Journal. IIRC collectibles will be listed under TROPHY. You will find a list of collectibles available along with the dye for completing a set. I don't play console, but from what I've read, when you destroy the collectible, it is added as completed in your journal.

Going by a post on another forum, they are automatically added to your collections. One way to find out, check the trophies tab under achievements.

Also have bound collectibles, can't do anything with it (ps4) doesn't mark it as achieved under the trophies section in achievements either .

So a bit useless really ...

On X1 collectables are counted towards the achievements as soon as you pick it up. So it is safe to destroy them.
