is having no ETAs on content a common thing?

I've played many mmos in my days and usually when big changes are announced they give some sort of release window. It seems with that with ZOS all they say is soon. for the pc players that have been playing a long time. Is this normal? and is soon considered weeks? months? tomorrow?

Folks usually give us a ballpark when it's months out, like "3rd quarter of 2015". But zos really like keeping us in the dark. Even if a patch could be 2 days away. We have literally no idea when to expect anything because "soon" means nothing to us.

@zos, we don't care if things get delayed (well some people might but forget about that), what's important is having a realistic timeframe for players to look forward to. I only troll the forums because I'm waiting for something to be announced/released, it's definitely not incentivizing me to play at all because I don't know what I could accomplish before system changes bury my work. Last time it was gibbing my movement speed build by cutting any sort of buff stacking.

Use to outrun bolt escapers. They never stood a chance.

Zos kinda does it there own way, they have this "Thats cool bro!, but where going to do it this way instead" attitude. and No many other MMO's Have a very active community developers answering questions, This is there first MMO and they do show for it some times. As for release's it was suppost to be every 6 weeks. But they scraped that long ago its more like every four to six months.

this kinda sucks. cause i figured things were chaotic at ZOS after the release on consoles. but i guess they dont think we need to know lol

This is an unfortunate paradigm we are seeing more an more these days, early access, pre-order a year early when nothing is known about the game etc etc. And don't forget the good ol' adage 'Keep em in the dark and feed em <snip>'

If they do the right thing we are looking at PTS testing of 4-6 weeks. So if we get the new content on PTS before the end of July looking at probably late sept early october. So you guys have lots of time to adjust and use your current gear.

You would be careful what you say too if you had an army of angry gamers disecting your every word. I would give them an A+ for communication and responsivness. Its crazy how many player suggestions make it in to the game. I want new content too (more than any other change), but im also pretty happy with how the game is constantly changing and evolving. It would be great to know when the new content is coming, but waiting til 7/13 for that info isnt the end of the world.

I dont have anything against when the new content is coming out. i just would like to know apox. when its coming. The only thing im angry about is the dungeon finder and having no text chat on consoles (i play on ps4). im relativly new to the game so theres alot for me to do until new stuff comes out. but its super hard to find a group to do dungeons with and thats my favorite thing about these types of games. mainly because i always use a healer

An A+ for communication and responsiveness? That's sarcasm, right? Have you ever played another mmo and seen how ZOS' competitors react to their playerbase? Or is this your first and you just have a naively low bar of expectations for ZOS?

"how the game is constantly changing and evolving" - the only thing that's changed in the last 6 months is mediocre XP grind spots were nerfed into oblivion.
