PS4 Bar Swapping

How do you gain a second ability bar with the same weapon? IE weapon swapping but only changing your ability bar?

I only gain access to a second ability bar if I place weapon/s in my back up weapon spots.

I would like to keep my original weapon/s and gain access to a second bar for different abilities? I know this was possible on PC is it possible on PS4?

No, you really do need to have two of the same category of weapon (or set of weapons, or weapon and shield) if you want to use only that weapon-type. Slotting a Destro Staff in each, two sets of two weapons, a pair of bows... the second bar only seems to work with an actual second weapon. This is usually a good thing, though, as it allows for a bit more versatility... but not always, if there's really only one weapon-type you want to bother with.

I'm not 100% sure but i would assume you just equip the same weapon in your second bar?

Thanks, I tried that. Moving the weapon from your primary slots to your back up slots only gives you access to you second bar. Placing them back in your primary spots only gives you access to your first bar.

The only way that would seem to work is if had four 1 handed weapons (dual wield)

There also is not an option either pushing triangle for options or going yo the settings menu?

You only get access to your 2nd bar with another weapon in your backup slot, just equip two of the same weapon and you shoild be fine.

This is a rather silly way of doing things, especially if you'r a mage. Having so few skill slots available just doesn't work, especially if you have a lot of "cast once" spells, like summoning you familiars.

But I guess we'll have to live with it...

It's a weapon swap faction, meaning you need another weapon equipped to use it. Can be the same or different but another weapon has to be equipped.
