Hi, this is listed as a skill effecting melee combat weapons. I realise that in real life a staff is a melee weapon but in ESOTU and other fantasies it is partially or not at all a melee weapon and is more of a magic missive weapon. Am I right in thinking that I have blown 2 skill points on Red Diamond (level 2) when all I use is a healing staff?

Since all staff attacks are ranged it doesn't proc off them, no.
