    Hmmm, decisions, decisions.....

3000 crowns for a Frozen ice princess pony? Or 30 hours worth of XP scrolls? Scrolls.

30 hours on scrolls of course.. with no cap on CP you can get good amount of cp for all your characters..as for mount be sure better looking one will come in few months or even sooner..do not waste money on mount..unless it is very cool looking and that icy pony does not.

Do everyone here really expect a business to not try to make as much money as it can?

    That's how the world works.

If a mount at 30$ brings in more money on average than a mount at 20$, you can be sure as hell the mounts are gonna be 30$. Reskin or not, it doesn't matter.

You are right of course, but i assure you nobody would really mind another reskinned horse for 30 $ if we would see other devs activities like active bug fixing (by active i mena letting bugs remain for less than 6 months), some new content or better pvp preformance. Sadly its not the case.

Or spend $30 on another game. Another game can provide many more hours of enjoyment compared to a reskinned horse in Eso.

expensive mounts really aren't anything different than expensive brands of clothing/shoes/purses/sunglasses, etc....most of the time the expensive clothes, shoes, etc. aren't actually made of any nicer material, or more material, than the "average"-priced brands.

Agree totally. To be honest, I don't see the point of buying extra clothing, extra special, sparkly horses etc. They should all be unlockable challenges to achieve within the game. Where's the sense of accomplishment when you buy it outright? Yep, I'm old school that way. :* I remember how hard I worked in Skyrim to get my blacksmithing skills up to be able to make my own dragonbone armour. Totally worth it.

I think you are missing the point of the Crown Store and subscription-free gaming.

Nope, I'd still buy any DLC add ons that were to do with a new quest, story line etc. I don't see the point of wasting $ on little pointless eye candy clothing & armour tweaks & useless pets that do nothing besides cause extra lag issues.

I do want to clarify: for the right cosmetic items, I would purchase them. Though I'm saving my crowns now for any DLC, and possible practical items such as character slots or bag space (outside of the in-game expandability.) But for some haircuts or clothes for the character that I really like, I wouldn't mind. I love unlocking things, but I do like the idea very much of having some separation from the crowd in a game filled with other people--and I don't mind other people having that separation, also. Too often, that separation only comes at the point of a huge amount of playing/grinding, and "separation" only manifests as "better", rather than simply different.
The idea behind items like a 3000 crown horse are to make something about your character feel more unique, special, or just better-looking, to that player. Just like that expensive pair of shoes (irl) that won't protect your feet from the ground/elements any better than the functional ones.

don't even like it its just the fire mount with a ice skin over it doesn't even look that good, look like they spent around 10 min making it !
    Meh!

TBH somebody spending their crowns on that horse has no effect on my game experience at all. It's like my neighbor's car; as long as it's not up on blocks in the front yard then I don't care what model it is or what he paid for it.
