Unique Armour and Weapons Are Not Unique

First off, I want to state that the game has very excellent customization, especially with the many crafting styles that also differ based on levels - but there is one issue that has irked me for a long time.

Unique weapons and armour that you usually recieve from bosses and quests are not unique, and they have the same appearance and stats as one you can craft yourself. The only thing different are their names and that they have a description, which really has no effect on the unique factor. This issue is similar to what was of Skyrim, where many of the swords had the same appearance, which deterred the uniqueness of the affected items.

If unique armour and weapons had special names, appearances and enchantments, it would truly increase the value of the items and give reason to want to collect and actually use them, instead of those you craft yourself.

I am more upset that someone else can have my unique weapon. I mean how can there be two holy smiting hammers of skeevers?

Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

You mean like the Masters set...? Also, unique doesn't necessarily mean unique in appearance. They would still have to be crafted by someone. That someone would craft them in one of the already determined styles that exist in Tamriel. Daedra would craft daedric, Altmer would craft altmer, etc.
