Armor and other physical mods

I wonder why we can make mods for organizing things,or for stats,etc,but not for physical stuff like personalized things for our characters.Just wondering why is all. Or wouldnt it be cool if we could craft more than armor,clothing or weapons? We could craft hair styles,or tattoos.Like go to the sea to kill Octopus for their ink? XD We could find flax for hair.Or fur.
