PS4 and open mics

Please, for my sanity, that of others take your mic's out of your mouth. It's disgusting to hear you breathing like your engaged in a self intimate activity or munching on what I presume is cereal like a cow. I don't need to hear you fighting with your wife, hear your smokers cough, or hear you take ur frustrations out on your dog for barking. I could go on but hopefully you get the point. Please take this opportunity, to readjust your mic settings and overall just be aware of what your transmitting. In the end, this will result in a lot less people blocking you. Thank you for your time

Yeah so many people are so bad with there mikes, I don't want to hear your bad music or you shouting at your kids, by all means wear your headset but mute it when your doing annoying sounding things

Unfortunately these people are not here, they do not use forums, reddit or something.
Most console gamers are skyrim fans playing TESO because they think this is a just a pre-quel, they don't know they are playing a MMO on ES universe, they don't know what a MMO is about.

They don't give a **** about people aroung and they don't know how a voice chat work.
And you have people who do not understand the hardware they have. They let the kinetic/ps camera microphone open, capturing everything around.

The game should have these things in the loading screens to educate players

-not leave your mic aways open
-Set your mic level
-kinetic/ps camera are **** for voice because the mic is extremely sensitive
-Remember that everyone is listening to you....

And yet another reason why: a) I have the community chatter feature volume turned off completely and b) don't were my headphones of use my mic (all that heavy breathing I was doing really isn't any of your business. I just really, really, really, like the look of my toons!)

I'll generally only have my mic open to those in the same group as me, when I am in a group, but if there is the odd time I am not, please try to be understanding, I don't breathe enough some times, then I end up some times having to breathe in more sharply to make up for lack of oxygen, not going to let myself die so someone else doesn't have to hear a trace of my breathing. >_<

Do what I do...and get a headset that lets you move the microphone up when you're not speaking, and down when you are.

I live in an apartment though, I can't just set it so low I have to speak obnoxiously loud to be reasonably audible, that would disturb other tenants in this building and cause there to be complaints...

For me I'm not sure it is the mouth breathers that pisses me off the most. It's the people that have their Tv blasting so that it is echoing through the mic.... That's what gets me. Do you not know that you are !#"$%@* annoying? Sigh.... Im actually kinda perplexed about all of this. I played DCUO for almost 3 years on ps3 and rarely had this problem. so I know most people out there know how to use their effing mic. Spend 50 bucks and go get a mic that can have game volume and chat within it and use it! COMON MAN!

Right? I'm starting to feel burned that I'm playing an "MMO" that is essentially just a single player game with hundreds of annoying mics thrown in to annoy me. No text chat for me = Near impossible to group. Group finder is a pathetic joke 90% of the time when it finally groups the ppl in the group could care less about doing the activity the queued for

What? If I stop breathing so others don't have to hear it, I would die. You need oxygen to live, breathing isn't a hobby it is a necessity. XD

Perfect example of why voice chat is terrible right here i was queued for a dungeon just now for an hour and finally get a group. Hadn't had a chance to put my headset on because im hanging with my son while i grind he loves to chill with me while i game. So this dude jumps on viop spitting and cussing about how "no one has a mic" when he couldn't even figure out how to jump to us in the dungeon. So he's spitting and cursing at us because we "don't have mics" and everyone leaves. Wasted hour time to queue again. Guess i'll go do solo questing another three weeks. I would play with my friends but were all Different ranks and some of them had to go rouge and join other factions. Long story short im having a lonely experience with ESO

Yep some people would have you believe that voice chat is a flawlessly implemented system and is the way of the future and if your having troubles with it its your fault.

Of course that worked better before the days of frequency-hopping SINCGARS.

Obligatory comment about PC master race. Shouldn't have got ESO for console is all I can say. You should have known what you would be in for given the average age of console players.

Leave Area Chat and Join Guild Chat. I believe it drops you back in Area Chat when you fast travel, but leaving is only a few button presses away. I never stay in Area Chat.

You have something against the 30 to 40 demographic? Because a quick google shows that as the predominant age range for all gaming, even consoles.
