Hi all! I'm new to the game and I need advices before I create my character. I played many mmorpg's for many years, but now I decided to stop at ESO. I want to play a dps role. I can't decide between dragon knight and nightblade. I'm more close to Nord DK since I also want to roleplay a true Nord warrior with it. But I don't know which build should I follow. Which gear should I use? Medium or heavy armor. Dual wield or two-handed. I need your advices

If you're going pact and want to play a nord, go with dragon knight, 2 handed, and either 7 medium armor or 5 medium with heavy chest/shoulders or heavy shoulders/helm for a more armored look.

    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

That's the beauty of ESO. After you pick your race and class, you're free to try anything and everything and just see what works, and you'll never fall too far behind in effectiveness. Anything you pick up, try it out.

Most people use 5 pieces of one armor type at later levels to make use of one of the passive armor skills, and will often mix up the other two slots as needed. Medium Armor improves your weapon power and stamina-based skills. Light Armor does the same with spell power and magicka-based skills. Heavy Armor improves your general survivability.

Whether you choose to focus on Stamina or Magicka as your primary resource, the other will be used for support. Pretty much all Dragon Knight skills lend themselves to more close-range combat, and Nightblades have a nice balance.

Physical weapons are all stamina based, staves are magicka based. Almost all class skills are magicka based.

For you, I'd recommend a Dragon Knight with medium armor and a balanced focus between health and stamina. Possibly more on health 'til you hit level 50. Both types of weapons are good, though I hear 2-handed is generally more powerful these days.
