Familiar Locations?

As of right now I am playing Daggerfall since I thought that would be the best way to experience totally new areas I have not yet seen in Elder Scrolls so far (And I really wanted to see the Redguard's homeland). And I have yet to go to Cyrodil..

But my question is: Are there places in ESO that we will recognize or seem familiar from previous Elder Scrolls games? For instances like landmarks, land formations, cities or towns? I know that we have BEEN to these places before in other games, but do they look like how they were or are they only the same in the name alone?

Windhelm and Riften are pretty faithful to their Skyrim counterparts. Skulldafn is pretty accurate as well, even it doesn't fit geographically.

Some of the places you have seen before will look familiar, like Cheydinhal, Riften and Windhelm, but there are also some that will look quite different.

Interesting. Anything in Cyrodil? Seems like the examples offered is restricted to Skyrim and the EP alliance..

I don't pvp much but I've heard a lot of people say the map of Cyrodiil is very much like the one in Oblivion. I can't attest to that but I played enough of Oblivion to recognize Bruma and Cheydinhaal. And Weynon Priory.
