Veteran Players do not vendor Gold Items

Dear ZOS, i don't post much, but I am spamming this thru all channels to get this issue resolved in a way that supports a community I care about...

in reference to query 1500624-001302 for [...].. he has an issue that I have heard of from many players in that items will disappear w/o cause. Happened to one of my friends [...] while he was in combat. Your explanation that he, a veteran player with tons of gold, vendored these items for a fraction of their actual in game worth is not really viable and has caused him his commitment to this game which by extension would impact my own. He leads one of the best guilds left on the DC side and his loss would impact 100's of players if [...] were to suffer or go under. Do the right thing here from a business perspective and a customer service perspective. While I may agree in principle with the thought that players should not be given an unfair advantage, I do not agree that making this individual, a person of weight in our community, whole qualifies as that. I do not require a response but would appreciate hearing good news from my GM in the near future.

Best from a subscriber since Launch who spends crowns.
I only came to melt faces; I leave the whining to the rest of you.

Your friend vendored a bunch of stuff by accident? And then didn't use the buyback feature? That sounds like a series of easily preventable errors.

Do I get you right, you want that your friend will be treated different just because you think he is important?
(If that's not the intention of your thread maybe make it more clear what you want since it doesn't look like a bug report)

You've presented your argument in quite a convoluted manner I think, but if I'm understanding correctly; If they have 'tons of gold' the vendoring of a few items for less than they're worth shouldn't have all that much of an impact on them.

But asking them to be treated different because of some monetary value they've accumulated in-game, or because of some other qualitative personal feeling towards them: That is well off the mark. Whether you - or they - are a subscriber since launch, and spend crowns or not, does not give any entitlement whatsoever to special treatment. I'm very sorry you feel it does/should.

What kind of a "veteran player" vendors gold items? Me thinks this is malarkey.

From what I see, it looks like his items just up and disappeared and Zenimax's explanation is that he vendored them. If this isn't the case then I believe there is an addon to make it where you can't decon or vendor your good items. If this is the case then Zenimax should probably just give him his items back.

What does being a guild leader, a "person of weight in the community" or someone who spends lots of Crowns have to do with anything?

If they are a victim of a bug then they should be treated fairly by support, just as any other player. If they are a victim of a mistake they will just have to live with it, just as any other player.

Everything else is irrelevant and to try to use status as leverage doesn't shine a very favourable light. Is the person involved even aware you're posting this on their behalf? Are they unable to fight their own corner or are you seeking to gain favour?

Yes, this doesn't even make sense. If he sold the items to a vendor, why doesn't he just buy them back? And really, why are you posting this here?

I don't get it? he vendor'd the items, and didn't buy them back? Don't they stay on the vendors for quite some time?

Guys, his items went missing while he was in combat and ZOS told him that he must have sold them off accidentally ...
