Stealth Melee style Templar

Anyone tried it? Does it actually work?

I like stealthy style play and pickpocketing. I like Dual Wield. I like throwing Spears. Figured it might make a decent combo in a Stamina build.

Also. I dont like Bows or 2Handers, tbh. Thats the most common "rogue" type setup I see. But i just dont like using those weapon styles.

I haven't tried it, but I've played Templars to death, so here's my 2 cents:

I think it can work, although, to me, your combat style screams Nightblade. Cloaking and then killing with a Surprise Attack would be your typical "silently kill from behind" type of combat. Plus, Ambush from stealth hits like a train, dropping single targets to almost 0 HP in an instant. However, stealthy combat with DW is close quarters combat, and staying alive can be an issue.

On the other hand, stamina Templars have excellent sustain and damage output can be really high. They're one of the most survivable classes, especially for solo play, which fits neatly into the idea of being a "rogue". Plus, spear-based damage is a Templar's bread and butter, with Biting Jabs and Javelin.

I'd say, try it! I'm guessing that through most of the game, even into the VR levels, it'll work just fine. In endgame stuff, it might struggle a bit, but you could tweak it, assuming you're interested in that stuff.

Last thing, Wood Elf would be a good choice for your race, as their racial passive increases damage done from stealth.

It is decent, saw someone using steel tornado Blazing shield combo with that Restoring Aura Morph to regain resources. Guess you can use javelin, flurry, Biting Jabs combo. Magicka for heals and shield.
