Noob tips for a Dragonknight

DrakeFive
DrakeFive
Level 28 dragonknight at the moment using a 2H and I'm really not sure where to put the skills points I have. I have about 10 at the moment but I haven't spent them because I don't know where I should put them

I could also do with some advice in terms of what abilities to use

At the moment I use Obsidian Shard II, Brawler III, Wrecking Blow III, Critical Rush III, Green Dragon Blood II, Dragon Leap IV

I want to be doing DPS not tanking

Any advice on what I should change - Cheers

For DPS I'd suggest medium armor if you aren't using it, its going to give you more stamina and weapon crit. As a disclaimer this is a build I used 6 months ago so there'd probably better builds or variations of something like this that might work better for you....this worked well for me at the time. I offer it as an example of what I did...use it, don't use it, but use your own judgement you know your goals and play style.

When I played my DK as a 2 hander my skill rotation was pretty simple, mostly weapon skills but it worked for me:

Fiery Grip morphed to Extended Chains
    Uppercut morphed to Wrecking Blow
    Cleave morphed to Brawler
Reverse Slash morphed to Executioner or I might use Dark Talons morphed to Burning Talons depending on the situation
Critical Charge morphed to Critical Rush

My skill rotation typically went something like this:
Extended chains to pull in a target like an archer or mage
Wrecking Blow would knock him back
Critical rush would put me back on top of him and typically kill
If he's not dead use Executioner.

Brawler I used in groups along with Wrecking blow to thin them a little for a few seconds to let me get in a kill or two before the knocked back mob returned to the fight. If I knew I'd be encountering heavy groups I'd swap out Executioner for Burning Talons for some damage over time and crowd control.

My second bar was bow for ranged DPS. My armor was all stamina enchanted since this was a stamina heavy build.

Passives are good take them all that you can in weapons, your class skills and armors...any skill line you use really.

Do not ignore your passives. While the first unlock might be kind of meh, adding tiers to it really makes a difference.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
