Can someone please explain to me how to buy materials from other players? I don't see any place on the forums for buying/selling. They should have that wtf...

If you know player who want to trade (from chat, for example), meet him and use "F" key:

By pressing “F” while another player character is highlighted, you can perform several interactions, such as inviting that player to a party or initiating a trade with them.

If you don't want to meet him, you can use mail system: ask him to send you a COD-mail ("Cash On Delivery") with items for trade and confirm your's reply "with gold".. Or send him your's COD-mail with goods for trade, specify gold amount wanted and switch on COD-option :)

If you're on console, it's trickier to trade with a player, since text chat is unavailable. However, you can still highlight a player and press the button displayed on-screen to initiate a trade.

Mail isn't working well right now - at least on XB. I grouped with a player last night, who I had added as a friend, but he didn't show up in my friend's list until after we grouped. Even though he's now in my friend's list, I still couldn't send him an in-game mail - it still said "Player not found."

This is why we've seen an increase in posts on the forums from console players wanting to purchase items. The in-game tools are paltry, at best, and don't really work.

Best bet is to head to the guild forums and find a guild to join. Then, you will be able to sell your wares through the guild store. However, even if you aren't part of a guild, you can purchase goods from any guild trader.

Jayne_Doe, how do i purchase goods from a guild trader? I went to a guild trader located in Ryukai <-- A.D. I started to enter what i was looking for, but nothing will show up. Is there a guide, or video you can link me to that explains it?

Some Guild Kiosks have a very small inventory, some have pages of inventory. So, if you put in search criteria and nothing shows up, that means they have nothing listed that you are looking for, so find another kiosk.

Once you find something, you select and pretty much "use" the item in the list, it will ask you if you want to spend the gold, confirm that, then it will show up in your email. Two things about email, since it has issues on the consoles right now, you may want to buy something that is cheap to see if you even get it before buying something expensive. Second, it can take 10 to 15 minutes to get your email with the item in it. You can speed this up by either:

    1. Going into or out of the local Thieves Refuge
    2. Traveling to another zone
    3. Relogging your character or logging to another character.

Any of those 3 will get your email to you if you don't want to wait.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

@g8LEATHERBACKg8: There are 7 guild kiosks in the capital cities of each faction. That is the main city in each 2nd zone. There are 5 guild kiosks in each of the main cities of the other 4 zones for each faction.
Then there are single guild kiosks scattered about the maps apparently at random. For example near the waypoint for the Wyrd tree in Glenumbra is a single guild kiosk.
You should be able to find a varied selection of Guild Kiosks if you jump around a bit.
