Sorc and DK Build plus Thematic question.

Hello friends, i am pretty new to the game and I'd like to have some hints and help on the build of my characters from you geeks.
My main character is a Sorc Breton actually lv 13.
I am wondering about the decision of chosing the breton race for this class. I mean, Altamers have a really strong racial passive skill, the Elemental Talent, that seems so much powerfull. Does Breton race suffer from the lack of a so good passive skill? I am not saying that bretons don't have quite good racial passives for sorcerer but ElementalTalent seems so much better in comparison. Was i wrong chosing breton for the sorcerer class?

Second question deals with the character growth. I am upgrading StormCalling, DaedraSumming and LightArmor as skill trees (not going for the passive skills of DaedricSummoning) . They seem so much better than the DestrucionStaff one. Probably, after that, if i have enough skill points, i will go for MageGuild skill tree.
Again, if you have some hints or suggestions, they are really appreciated.

My second character is a Redguard DK that i am building full Stamina and running Heavy armor . Actually lv 27
The skill trees i am upgrading are OneHandAndShield, Heavy armor and ArdentFlame ones. Is this ok? Some hints?

Another thing i'd like to ask deals with a thematic incongruency. I mean, did you noticed that Ebonheart Pact is full of HighElves and DaggerFall Convenant is full of Khajitis? It's not like bretons, that ,even in other Alliances, are simply themtically justifiable. They should not stay there, or at least, not in that huge number!
Eso world is so carefully constructed that it's a shame ruining it this way.
I really appreciate your help and I hope you'r having a good day! See ya guys
Ah last thing: forgive my poor English. It's not my native language.

    1) Bretons are a very solid choice for everyone who want to play a magicka based class, but Altmer is hands down the best race for a magicka sorc. If you care about getting the maximum out of your sorc, go Altmer.

    2) At some point you will need every passive from your class, and access to every skill. May advice would be to use the skills for leveling that you enjoy, and put others on your secondary bar (unlocked at lvl 15), and switch to that bar when you turn in quests. You could put there a skill from each class tree, a destruction, restoration and some other skill. You will want to have both staff lines maxed out in the end, as they are really useful for a magicka sorc.

    3) Same goes for the DK skills, level all the class trees. If you want to dish out a lot of damage, you will have to run medium armor; at least put on two pieces, level it up and then try it out to see if you like it. You'll also want to consider trying dual wield, 2h and bow, to supplement the tanky 1h/shield with some dps.

    4) About the things like races in "opposing" factions, I have to admit I don't care at all. I think some lore guy said it's because some just leave their homes for whatever reason, and then join another faction.

My magicka sorc is Breton and he seems to be fine. But for min/max purposes yeah I guess an Altmer is where it's at.

My sorc won't ever use pets, so any passive pertaining to them I am not even bothering with, but if you want to play around with that sometime, and have the skill points to spend go for it. I do love Velocitous Curse though!

As a full stamina DK, levelling 1H+shield is a good idea in case you'd want to try tanking later on, but it's not a DPS weapon of choice. It is a good idea to level the rest of the weapon lines mentioned above to give you some flexibility to spec into later if you'd like.

My stamina DK uses 2 pieces of Heavy, and 5 medium armor for a little bit more survivability. All heavy should be okay levelling to 50, but medium will provide that extra damage you'll want.

Yeah, races can be a part of any faction and to me that makes sense, you just don't see them in great numbers there. People leave, emigrate, and stay in one place for awhile until that becomes their home, even if their race may come from some other part of the world. Khajiit in particular to me seem to have a bit more wanderlust and you'll see them here and there.
