Question about motifs and how they work?

I am a blacksmith and therefore I am interested in the various motifs in this game. However I have a few questions rearding Motifs.

First off I have seen a lot of people selling motifs named something like "Daedric Bows - Requiring lvl 9 of the desired skill".
And also I have seen motifs saying "Racial type - Requiring lvl 1 of the desired skill".

What is the difference between these actually? Because I see that you can buy some racial motifs from the Crown Store but what is the difference between those and the ones people are selling and requiring lvl 9?

I hope you understand my question, if not let me know.

The normal non rare motifs (blue) only require you to be T1 in tradeskills for you to be able to READ and learn the motif.

The rare motif (purple and yellow) require you to have higher tradeskills before you can READ and therefore learn the motif. So they are warning you, do not buy the Daedric motif unless you have your trade skill high enough to use it.

The crown store ones do not have that limit tho.

To add to what @Natjur says (which is absolutely correct), you should be aware that the purple motifs (daedric, ancient elf, primal, barbaric) also require style stones that you may have a great deal of trouble finding pre-vet levels. Depending on the motif, the style stones to craft in that style will only be found in containers in the VR1-5 zones, or in the VR6-10 zones. So if you're not able to get to those zones yet, the only way you'll be able to get the style stones in order to actually craft in those styles is from hirelings, heavy sacks, wet gunny sacks, deconstructing gear in that style, or buying them from other players.

Basically this is just a warning: if you're low level and you buy one of the rare motifs, whether from the crown store or from another player, you may have more trouble actually crafting in that style than you anticipated.

Alright thanks a ton! I hace decided I will get all the styles even though the material might be tough to get. But then I can always craft gear for others if needed!

Note that the gold motif, Imperial style, can be learned at any level and the nickel required to craft it is readily available in any zone as loot and from any blacksmith, clothier, or woodworker vendor that sells racial stones.

It is rare to find in game, so if you're interested in that style and don't have the imperial edition (in order to play as an Imperial), then it would be a good choice to purchase from the Crown Store (or in-game from guild kiosks).

I have the imperial edition and playing as an imperial so I got that covered. However I might buy my way into the more rare ones from the guild stores, because I am not willing to spend like 50-100k for full books, also because I do not have the money at this point in the game.

I am a level 39 player and have accumulated somewhat like 60k so far from quests and things I have sold.. What better way is there to make a bunch of cash? I am a level 40 blacksmith with every perk unlocked, how can I benefit from this and still make a profit?
