Do you like food buffs causing magicka/hp/stamina bars to always remain visible?

Is it possible to have more than one stat buffed by provisions? Like eat a hot dog for health, have a beer for magic, and drink a potion for stamina?

    Soooo, anyone know this answer?

No. Try it. That's why you have dual stat foods.

Lmao....it's almost like they had the intern try and sub in for the lead UI designer who was off on vacation.

That's 3 inches off the bottom of the screen at least. Seriously. And up all the time with food buffs regardless of any setting in Options.

Because, the space below is used to display skills while in combat....

You didn't read my other posts. Seriously, READ.

I did. Kind of disappointed that I wasted my time doing so. WTB my 2 minutes of life back.

I prefer the bars to nothing but they are kind of big. I would rather have something like the slowly counting down circle in Oblivion that marked the progress of buffs. It is irritating to have to check the character stat to see if a buff is still active. No, I don't use add-ons. Even if they were available for my mac it was barely adequate to the task without the further burden of an add-on and even that option is not on the console.

It would be better if there were buff/debuff icons (like every other MMO and most single player RPGs), but those don't exist.

This feature covers up that shortcoming.

Apparently you're the one who cannot read. I did lend my criticism and the OP is not understanding it. However, judging by his spelling and grammar I'm guessing he's not very savvy with English and isn't understanding the point of why we like the buff being shown. Nobody cares about three bars being shown other than you two. If you want immersion, go play Skyrim. I'm sure that's the only other TES game you've played anyways.

There should be an option for both. Realistically there is no reason for the bar to display when full unless it is set to always display anyway. In all honesty the entire UI needs to have many more options including timers (that display in combat or at set intervals), numeric values and percentages for both the player and allies, more item information (stored location, trait researched, etc.), and buff or stamina/magicka values for groups to name a few. Almost all of these could be optional.

I worded this totally wrong. It's obvious people think this pole is a request to have a buff UI component like so many PC version add-ons provide in a minimalist icon. I meant for this to be about the default STOCK magicka/health/stamina bars.

Nope I understand 100% and I am perfectly happy with how it is. Would I say no to a timer next to a symbol? No but at the same time its good this way in my mind.

This is WAI and not a bug. I like to have those reminders that my buffs are up and which stats are affected.

You see if the buff is up either way. The buffed bar sizes are larger. Even using purple food meaning all three are buffed the bar sizes are larger.

No, you don't see the buff is up if you're using drinks. The only way to tell is the occasional arrow that goes up on your bars. Regeneration buffs (drinks) don't increase the overall size of the buffs. Seeing as how we don't have buff trackers yet, I think this is a welcomed bonus so you can see when you need to eat/drink again.

    -Edit-

What I mean is that if you were to remove the effect of the bars staying up when buffed, then people using drinks wouldn't know they were up other than checking the character screen for active effects.

drinks do not cause the bars to remain visible out of combat

Drinks have no effect on MAX stamina/health/magicka.
They only effect regen rates. So you would never see an size increase regardless

It is quite invasive isn't it :D

Too far off center its difficult to keep an eye on stats.
Too close to center invades combat.
Too big and it invades space but is easy to judge how much resource you have remaining.
Too small and its difficult to judge what resources you have.
    What you gonna do lol.

Most add-ons stack the bars and place them near a corner or at the bottom of the screen. The fact that these add-ons have more information and are less intrusive is sad.

The very LEAST ZOS could do is give us an interface option to toggle this feature on and off.

    I - for one - HATE it.

So they added the ability to toggle off mount bags, leg warmers and harnesses.....yet we can decide to turn off the attribute bars or move them down? /facepalm
