My main has all professions maxed at 50. I've never felt gimped by skill points as I leveled up. It's all about your particular play style, and spending your skill points wisely.

Ive always found it hard not to craft with all of my characters. I want each one to make each of his own items.

Im crafting on my main. I usually play evenings and weekends but i have all the skills i currently want on my nightfury. I am currently working on provisioning and woodworking, and it seems to be working out prefectly fine. I enjoy my time in game questing then spending a couple hours farming mats and crafting. Maybe eventually i will make a character specifically for all crafting skills, but that will be in the future. I dont see why you cant do everything you want. But again, thats just my opinion.

I have been crafting 3 skills on my main and have had no problem at all with skills points for skill lines and passives. I am level 36 and having fun! :D

A lot of the arguments here for crafting on your main are that you are not running out of skill points. Keep in mind though that you may run into problems in the end game. To fully max crafting you need 120+ skill points. Fully perking your main in crafting will likely impeded your ability to max out all class skills, take all guild skills, learn a second and third weapon, play pvp, steal things, or learn dark brotherhood skills when those come out. If you want to craft on your main, I can see why that might be enjoyable for the reasons mentioned here (immersion, convince, achievements) but just remember you will be limiting yourself at the end game.

E.g. My v14 tank has nearly every skill point in the game, has only ten extra skill points, and only learned alchemy and provisioning. Had we learned all the crafting skills, i definitely would have needed to make other sacrifices.
