Another thing that has been odd is that I have two PC's with ESO, and I've updated them at the same time, and had one that downloaded at nearly "full speed" without intervention while the other needed "pause/resume" help to stay above speeds as low as 100KB/s (where 8MB/s is the best I've seen). Even then, the "slow" PC could download from other sites at "full speed". My guess is that somewhere some load balancing isn't working quite properly. I wish whoever it is would fix it!

In my city 100mb is the very basic starter package and costs €9.99. You seriously need to move!

Agreed. Unfortunately, in the States (and I'm assuming you're in GB since your using #'s instead of dollars), we're pretty much stuck with whatever you can get and Comcast or one of the other big cable companies are the only way to get decent speeds. That is until Google Fibre shows up and then, who knows. My Comcast inet is 79.99 per month and that's with the highest level of speed boost you can get and it still sucks.

Dern it! I need to move back home to London.

Nah, UK uses £ (pounds). € is Euros and I'm from Latvia. Lived in the UK for 4 years though and even there the internet is very mediocre at best compared to rest of EU.
But damn. If these are the prices in USA then i feel sorry for ya guys. Charging those prices is just outright theft. Does the government not control the market, preventing them from robbing their customers blind?
Sorry. I wasn't paying attention. I should know that, I work with international currency!

But I am not moving to Latvia. I don't think I even know where it is. Sorry. I'm an American now and we don't know Geography, at all!

You use a BB text wrapper to embed videos. I'm too lazy to post the syntax cuz brackets are a pita to get to on my tablet, but you should be able to look it up pretty easily.

I tried the trick of pausing and restarting and it went from 7 hours to 99+ hours.

It works because your traffic after pause will get reprioritized on ISP router and you will get max bandwidth again. ISPs has throttling in place for torrent users and such.
As an aside, isn't this practice now illegal in the U.S.:

A person engaged in the provision of broadband Internet access service, insofar as such person is so engaged, shall not impair or degrade lawful Internet traffic on the basis of Internet content, application, or service, or use of a non-harmful device, subject to reasonable network management.

I downloaded ESO on launch day in less than 1 hour.
I've been downloading this patch for 5 hours and haven't even hit 30%

There are hundreds of complaints about this on these forums and reddit yet we've not heard one peep from zenimax. Great customer service.
End the tedious inventory management game.

What? There is a pinned post about the patch apologizing for the size and saying they will work to do smaller patches in the future. What else do you want them to say?

This is not an issue for ESO. You should be on the PSN forums complaining there. Save room for the rest of us that have legitimate issues with the game.

Same problem on the PC for a long time - search for "slow download". Most likely not a PSN issue. And at least in my experience over the past year, does seem only related to ESO.

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...

You could have just downloaded it to one computer then put it on an external drive or network your pcs and copy it to the other.

Since beta I've never run into this problem. And I do not have super fast interwebs. It does download slower than it should but never has it taken as long as it does (apparently) on PSN. Ya people complained about slow downloads, but it NEVER took as long. Pretty sure it's PSN specific in this case.

it more than likely won't matter. the "competing" internet providers have agreed not to compete, so they can price it any way they like. in my state, the northern metropolis is "owned" by comcast, and the southern is "owned" by time-warner. most of the backwoods is "owned" by ATT's U-verse. the really annoying part, my area is "owned" by commiecast, but they still run adds on how much better they are to ATT and time-warner, despite it being impossible to get either.

Just curious - what region are you located in? I'm in the Northeast U.S. I've often seen download performance problems since early access. When it "works", it is 4-8MB/s, and when it doesn't, it is as low as 200KB/s - so at least an order of magnitude difference. In the "doesn't" case, toggling the pause/resume can help dramatically - but not always. I've never experienced this kind of performance variance issue with any other service I use - just ESO.
