What level did you complete the Fighters Guild at?

Just a simple Imperial trying to fill a narcissistic void. The other day I received the final quest for the Fighters Guild, which I believe was at level 25. Assuming it would be difficult, I let it be. I did some more random questing, a dungeons, and the main quest, I got up the level 27. It was about 11:00 and the people I just did a dungeon with got off so I was unsure what to do next. I looked at my quests and saw the Fighters Guild one. Considering the fact that no one else was on and I saw a level 29 with the "Fighters Guild Victor" title I thought "What the ***, lets do this.". I was going along fighting level 42 opponents with a little difficulty but Alief and Merrick were there so I sat back and healed them and myself. I worked my way towards the end and was at the mini boss stage where I took out the first two by switching between my one hand and shield and restoration staff. I died once against one of the mini bosses but that wasn't the worst thing. SPOILERS!!! Side note, I have no idea what the other ending was, I chose to save Sees All Colors so I don't know what the other ending is and if it is easier. Continuing on, I got to the final mini boss which is a Harvester and my god, it was probably the hardest thing I have ever accomplished in a video game. I was rapidly switching between my staff and sword trying to stay alive while also taking down the Harvester which kept sapping my life away whenever the *** it felt like it. Then spawning those orbs that healed her even more. In total I probably spent an hour fighting this one enemy. In the entire time I never died, I did almost give up two or three times but my will and determination kept me going. After I beat her, defeating Alief was like killing a level 1 spider. It was intense, but that epic sword was almost worth it. Anyway, I just want to know how impressive it is or if it's nothing too crazy.

The Fighter and Mage Guild quests will scale with your level. For that reason, I prefer to save them until quite late, when I'm questing in Cold Harbour. The additional quests really help those last few levels zoom by.

That Harvester fight really tests two things: 1) Are you paying attention to fight mechanics and 2) Have you loaded any AoE. The next time you fight her, on an alt perhaps, you'll blow through it like a three-pack of skeevers.

I did it back then quests were fixed-level, IIRC the final FG quest was level 43.... I did it at level 45. Since Merric is actually a useful companion as opposed to the "mightiest warriors in Tamriel" (Tharn, Titanborn and Sahan) I never really had any problem with the harvester fight...

i read that the fighters guild quest reward is really nice, so i'm saving it until after vet rank 1. since it scales to your level it should be a nice little sword to use.

i am vet 1 now and still haven't finished cold harbor, so i am ok quest wise.

Like most others I completed the quest in a linear fashion and did each 'stage' when it was level appropriate for optimal experience.

Since now the FG quest is scaling, do we have any concrete confirmation that the sword scales also?

Because is a damn good sword, wasted at Level 43 before :(

Most do the fighters guild quest around level 45, just before going to coldharbour. Makes sense, since the weapon you get will be most useful there, where two thirds of all enemies are daedra, and half the remaining are undead...
But of course, some take advantage of the scaling and wait until later.
Some also do the quest on their main at 45, and then wait on an alt, take the same weapon type (you only get choice between sword, greatsword, bow and flame staff anyways)...

And then... there are those who do it way underlevel. ;) Which as they found out, can get quite tough, harvesters can be iffy... (it helps to know when to interrupt, and that popping the orbs before they reach the harvester will heal -you- instead...)

'Optimal' XP maybe but a total waste of a weapon drop IMO, far better waiting till the final Main Story weapon is no longer better than VR greens .. of course, that assumes your class/build can make good use of one of the weapons you can get from that final quest.

Come on, theres nothing to it, scaled Fighter and Mage guilds are preparation for Thief and Dark Brotherood quests (They might even add more NPC guilds to the game, like Hunters, Priests, etc) so VR14 can do them too. If you guys expect some awesome gear if you wait until vr14, you guys are gonna be disappointed.

I'm not sure why everyone is going on about this weapon, it's very situational at best and isn't really worth dropping a potential set bonus for. That being said, if you can resist doing the story line until you're VR12 that's pretty cool, having an incomplete quest would frustrate me to no end.

Congrats on the Epic Battle, but you made it harder on your self. You may have not seen too many Harvesters as of yet, but you will start running into them more often.

Here is what you do, take out the Orbs. Doing so damages the Harvesters, stops her from Healing and makes the fight just a typical mob fight.

Take this hint even farther and learn to Interrupt a Caster. The Invasion Skill is great for this, so is just Bashing them with your Shield. There are 3 Boss fights I can think of off the top of my head that if you don't learn how and when to interrupt, you will never beat them, solo at least. Well, one of them is in the games main quest and you absolutely positively need to Bash or Interrupt to prevail.

Once you learn how to bring Bash into your combat mix, you will find lots of fights to be much easier to do.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I did it at about 35 on first character then after a few hours of questing replaced the guild reward item with a green.

I havent done it on next 2 vet char yet. If you wait until vr1 for molag bal that reward will last you abit. Id suggest waiting until vr1 atleast for sure for fighters guild.
