Having recently rolled up an alt to play around with since the amazing influx of players recently I was amazed and somewhat disappointed with how far nerfed the overland content has become. Anyone remember how challenging Doshia was? It was actually a rewarding experience to down her, now she can't even get a second cast off before I knocked her into the transform phase, then she still dies within about 4 global cool downs, maybe 5 if she gets her stun/harvest thingy off. An "elite" enemy of my level *should* require some effort! I completed Auridon at level 12, moved to Ghratwood and, after completing the initial quests at the harbor which leveled me to 14, went up to the first delve I came across, the mine behind the Altmer embassy near Eldenroot. The mobs in there are lvl 24. I cleared it with no problem at all... groups of mobs TEN levels above me and still no issues, the "elite" boss also TEN levels above me, nearly no effort. New players can face-roll any of this content, even stuff that is supposed to pose a challenge, there is no need to learn mechanics of classes when "spin to win" aoe-fests are actually viable. I understand the perceived need to reduce overland difficulty for a variety of reasons but I think we've gone too far down the scale and it has taken away the reward of overcoming a fantasy challenge.
Anyone else think we need some properly challenging content while leveling too?
