in game email as a result of guild store sale - why no description of item sold ??

ozworth

Why is there no "name" or description of the item that was sold, in the subject or body of the email I receive with sale proceeds ?? Every in game mail I rec. for a guld store sale looks EXACTLY the same. This makes it very difficult to tell what was sold for the amount rec. How hard can it be to put the name of the item in the subject line of the email ??

Very, very, very hard apparently. This has been asked for since guild traders were added into the game on PC. Ofc, addons were created to deal with it and some players even complained the addons turned traders into an AH, killing the economy...blah blah blah.

Would/could have been avoided altogether if ZOS has been kind enough to tell us what exactly was it we sold and which trader we sold it from.

The bright side now is that if you guys (consoles) complain loudly and long enough about it.....maybe it will finally get fixed. However "immersion" breaking having a little information might be to some.

If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

If you look in your Guild History, Under Sales, it will tell you the items that sold and for what and I think to whom. It is a LIFO thing, so the new information pushes the old out. So, depending on how active your guild is, and how often you log in, you can usually see the information you need.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

ya .. well.. if I login 3 days after the sale, to read my in game email .. I doubt the items will still show in history since you are saying its LIFO ..

The answer that the pc community has to questions like this will only be a source of frustration for console users: "there's an addon for that."

This game is so broken I don't even know how people distinguish CE from negligent development.

If you're online 24/7 and/or your guild is dead enough to show you sales from a few days back, then maybe. But this isn't an aceeptable solution. It's not a solution at all. We NEED better mail info.

I am pretty sure this is not an immersion thing. It is more likely a priority thing, there not being enough of it to warrant doing it.

I use Master Merchant. It shows you what sold.

Why they don't have it as an actual game feature is beyond me. This is one of a number of very basic features that every other MMO has that this doesn't.
Kobaal - VR16 Dragon Knight - PC [NA] Azura Star
Kobaal Shadowborn - VR16 NightBlade - PC [NA] Azura Star
Kobaal Stormborn- VR3 Sorcerer - PC [NA] Azura Star
Fat Old Templar - lvl 19 Templar - PC [NA] BwB

You are wrong. The answer to everything is Immersion.

"Immersion" went right out the window the moment they introduced a mail system you can access anytime and anywhere; and that even teleports your items.
The missing sales info is just what it is: laziness.

Clearly, the mail system should be removed and replaced with daedra that shuttle packages between players. In order to send mail, you should have to hunt down a daedra that is not busy and give them a package. That package would, of course, travel the world in real-time and visible to anyone in the game. Raiding the mail daedra and stealing the packages could be quite entertaining.

At least with this, you would understand why you never know who sent the package or why it never arrives.

That is telemagickputty in yo brains with a simple UI. That is why the mail system is so immersive and simple and annoying just like most other UI and communication systems.

The true thing that is actually truly immersive is the way you interact with NPC when you talk. Your impressively off centered dialogue options (which sometime reach the immense number of 4) take half of your screen. This the most npc dialogue immersion per square cm I have seen in a CRPG made in the last 15 years. It is amazingly immersive.

It is so immersive that you can't even dial back the immershun with mods on PC.

Master Merchant is a necessity for consoles. Zenimax cares not.
End the tedious inventory management game.
