First time post.
I've been an elderscrolls fan since I could first play video games, but the world of mmo is completely new to me.
My question is (to you veteran mmo players); will having a build that doesn't just focus on tank, damage, or healing others be bad for pvp, rejected, etc?
I ask because I am currently making a high elf Templar focusing on damage dealing rather than healing and in med armor with sword and shield. My plan for pvp is to use mobility to flank and take out healers, javelin the tanks or duel wielders that come after me and flee back to my friends in the "shield wall".
From your experience, could this be viable? I've only read on the forums and other articles about pvp tactics and the mmo mentality and it seems rigid - which is fine if it's for a reason - I'm just curious and would like to understand if the build I'm working on could compete and be valuable to my alliance, or if I should look down another path.
Thanks so much and welcome to the franchise if you're new to elder but old to mmo!
