Entropy and Major Sorcery Buff

Can anyone tell me if you gain the major Sorcery Buff just by having entropy on your skill bar or if you ONLY get teh buff once you cast Entropy on a target? if so how long does the buff last?

Furor✭✭✭I'm not online to confirm but I believe that the Majory Sorcery buff (20% spell damage) lasts for the duration of Entropy, therefore, yes you must cast Entropy on a target. ✭✭✭✭✭You have to cast it, and it lasts 20 seconds if you actually track the duration in your character sheet.
Tooltip is wrong, so are most buff tracking addons.0
