And the quests are very repetitive and boring. There is no sense of exploration at all. It's 100% hold your hand themepark. If it wasn't for my guild and the people in it I probably wouldn't even bother with this game anymore. Also where is the content we were promised a year ago?
Um, from his other post the OP wants more hand-holding, not less...
I thought he was just being sarcastic.

If you ever do make it to vet 1 you get access to another leveling system that requires 1,440,000,000 exp to be max level.

The leveling system is appropriate to an Elder Scrolls game, while having the needed elements of an MMO to remain challenging, balanced, and involved.

The quests are so numerous, you can't do them all before out leveling some of them.

The level is actually pretty quick, if you're playing, and not fudging around constantly (I don't mean having a fun bath sauna night in Rawlkha, I mean arguing with people, screwing with the guards, messing with noobs, you now, the usual stuff morons do).

The Lore is detailed, and fantastic, true to an Elder Scroll game.

My ONE complain so far with questing is the ridiculous amount of reading. (the voice acting is fantastic, but DAMN it takes forever for them to finish their damn spoken words). Do I really need to read 6 regular length paragraphs for you to tell me to collect some runestones? and then 4 more paragraphs on the turn in?
I find the lore books much more interesting anyway.

I suspect that by the time you've reach just lvl 50 in your factions zones, you will have come close to reading a 250 page book, just from quest dialogue alone.

Questing to me seems just fine. I've read lots of complaining about how it's "fetch this" but really , I don't see what that's based off. I can't remember any "fetch" quests. Much less enough to complain about.

Same with levelling. Feels fine to me. I tend to farm mats for crafting most of the day and quest maybe a couple hours worth. Some days more. I've levelled up quite a bit for how I play.

The quests are fine. The amount of EXP they give is not Ok. Finding quests within a zone is externally annoying.

gaining Vet ranks is hands down the worst process i've ever seen in an MMO.

Can't we agree to disagree on this? If you disagree with the op , at least respect others opinions on the matter. Why discourage anyone from playing? The more that play the better. At least the op gave reasons why they're unhappy. That to me is way better than the typical "this game sucks" posts we all see all over the place these days.

Well, that's the problem with games - they cannot please everyone.
Some people find the quest details boring and would rather have a simple 'go get me this' others love that quests have some story behind them.
You think quests are a pain to find, yet another in this very thread complains there is no exploration and too much hand holding.
You find leveling too slow, in the past people have complained it is too fast and even asked for ways to pause xp.

About the only thing near everyone can agree on is that vet levels are too slow and a pain in the butt.

PS4 player here. Funny thing about the quest so far: I swear every other quest is "drink this potion and enter into the dreams/relive the past" shtick.

Ok I'm going to enter yet another dream/past life memories and look there's 20 other dudes in the dream running around and we're all clones.First time that happened I rolled my eyes. At least make this part a solo quest. The next dozen or so quest like this I just click through all the text and run through it fast as I can. It's so played out, pants on head stupid.

If they did the dream shtick once or twice it would be cheesy but acceptable. Seriously, it's in the zone story line, the fighter's guild, mages guild, on and on. I've only level 30 ish and I can only imagine how many more times I need to enter into the past/into someone's dream with 30 cloned players in the same quest.

Oh and delves are all identical. It's a circle with a gate to get you to go in one direction with a delve boss in the end. There's always a side quest note/object in front of the exit gate you need to return to someone in town. Every.Single.Delve.

Totally agree. It's actually my #1 and you can still find it out there :) Not sure I can post links to other games but it's not that hard to find the classic version of it still around.

I never felt the fun of running around exploring in any other game than in EQ. My favorite part? The EC trade tunnel! But the leveling was super tedious you have to agree with that. lol

If you've "explored" the first 3 zones and haven't found all of the quests needed to get the achievement for each zone (and you don't even have to do every quest in a zone to get the achievement - there are always more quests available in the zone than the achievement requires) then you really haven't been doing much exploring.

ESO has a lot to offer, exploring, public dungeon, world bosses, group public dungeons, dungeons, dolmens, cyrodil to spice up leveling, only thing what ESO lacks is non-combat activities, well even thats is covered now as theres thieving, or maybe more player interactivity, Id love to see some player Bards in taverns etc. So sorry to say maybe its you. ESO actually offers way more variety than most games does by huge margin.

I'm confused... you say you can't find quests, but here you say you have 'yet to finish every quest'. So are you just running around collecting quests without finishing them? Heck, all one has to do is walk down the road and there are quest-givers at almost every turn. Of course, I use an add-on that marks quest-givers on the map, although it also has a tendency of marking some of them that don't appear until after completing another quest, but for the most part it's pretty accurate; gotta love the PC and our add-ons. :)

But the point is, finding quest givers even without an add-on is SUPER EASY just by walking down the road. They have this large black marker above their heads.

I agree, I find it very difficult to get in to. If I allow the NPC to fully speak, I play for an hour or so a day, I'd get through maybe a 1/3 of the quests I get through just speed reading the first few words and clicking next. This game is very VANILLA, and people saying it's one of the best obviously have very limited scope on what MMORPG's can be. I see very limited interaction between devs and players, and in an MMORPG you need that, you need quests, you need to feel appreciated, you need to feel like your time is worth something. They dropped the ball by not including player housing in the game IMO, big time, and waiting to release content when it's been out for a year on PC's is almost like saying "goodbye" to them. I'd be extremely upset if I was a PC player with how they were treated.
