When you're close enough to the middle of the wayshrine a prompt should come up telling you what button to push to use the wayshrine. No idea what it would be on PS4, but the on-screen prompt should tell you.Noomfy-Mop wrote: »well wadda ya no..

don't worry I don't feel bad. just as im sure your not actually worried lol. im happy to be learning more about ESO. the more I learn the easier and/or less confusing the game gets for me.
and a lot of this stuff isn't explained in game. or if it is I missed it.

When you do hit the correct button, it should bring up the map, and then you select which wayshrine to go to, just as if you were doing it the way you have been. One thing to note, though, is that there's a bug that makes it so that on rare occasions when you do this it won't properly recognize that you're at a wayshrine, and you'll notice that it shows a gold price to travel to another wayshrine. Just exit out of the map and try again, and you'll be fine. Of course, this might just be a PC bug - it might not exist on consoles.

You can also travel to a friend or a guild mate (if they are in the same base alliance and in a zone you can reach) by selecting their name in the list and choosing to travel to. Don't ask me how to do that as I am not sure. But traveling to a grouped player or a guild mate or friend is free. You will be sent to the nearest wayshrine to them.

Don't buy the 42,000g mounts! Once upon a time they used to have better stats than the 10,000g horse, but mounts no longer have stats. Your character has a "riding skill" that determines how all mounts behave when ridden by that character. Unless you really, really like the look of the 42,000g mounts, don't buy them. They will behave no differently than a 10,000g horse.
I had an idea for Wayshards (pieces of a Wayshrine) that would let players teleport anywhere they wanted to.

I still think it would be a cool idea.

so what your saying is you don't even need to use the wayshrines at all!
you can just fast travel to a guild mate or friend at any time, no matter the distance for free?
well that's even better.. provided your in a large guild.

That's correct. You won't travel directly to that person, but will spawn at the wayshrine closest to their location. This only works with guildmates or friends that are online, and logged onto a toon in the same faction as you.
