Would you like to see more variety in weapons?

I myself think that weapons like the Morning Star (a ball and chain weapon for the uninitiated), as well as spears and pole-arms would add to the variety and choices one could make while developing their toon. Vote and share your thoughts, perhaps there are specific medieval fantasy weapons you would like to see included or brought back from previous ES titles.

Polearms, definitely worth a new skill line. Even if some of the animations might copy the aedric spear line, it would still be worthy to have warriors with imperial pikes, dwemer halberds, maormer tridents, breton glaives, bosmer spears, dunmer partisans, akaviti naginata, etc.

One-handed and wand/rune, for the spellsword feeling, with a mix of stamina-based melee and magica-based ranged abilities, and heavy attacks that restore both, though half as much as a "pure" skill line...

Brawler with brass knuckles, cesti and punch daggers - doing much less damage then all others, but relying more on wrestling moves and CC/debuff effects for their attacks. Attacks like throwing sand into an opponent eyes to blind, doing a leg sweep for a knockdown or kicking below the belt for a stun...

Alteration staff for a mix of support and damage abilities, and to give the casters some more to play with. Like destro staff, it could come in several flavors, covering those seen in use by NPCs... illusionist staff, hedge witch staff, shaman staff...

Then there are the ones that I would love to see added to existing skill lines...

Crossbows to "bow" (maybe rename it "archery")

Spell Foci to "Destruction staff/magic" and "Destoration staff/magic", in shapes of holy symbols, ornate spellbooks, gemmed skulls, shaman rattles, ayleid crystals, whatever... it would be neat to have casters that don't use a staff, but hold the spell focus in one hand while making mystic gestures with the other as casting animation...

Short spears to one-handed (for the "sparta" feeling... though I guess they might not work as well with the usual animations...)

Flexible weapons, like flails, morningstars, perhaps even whips (chain whip and urumi-style?) to one and two handed (okay, might be troublesome to animate, but... worth consideration)

I believe they should add some damage bonuses if you go down the 1H line without using the shield, and allow to use the abilities even without it. (but not the ones that need shield ofc)

Is bit absurd not been able to use pierce armour or low slash without shield equipped when you carry a sword.
