Kicked for exceeding message limit (spamming) Xbox one edition

EpicOverlord85
So I was playing on the Xbox one version and I got kicked from the server for exceeding the message limit. First off I was in the middle of combat (anchor fight) and secondly what messages is it even talking about? Text chat? Because we don't have that

It happens sometimes when you haven't even used chat at all. It's been happening to me forever on PC, although not a lot.

Tamriel Unlimited was a mistake. One Tamriel was a bigger mistake

It most likely has to do with lag. Every command you do sends a 'message' to the server, if there is lag a lot of messages can pile up and reach the server at once. The server will react by seeing it as spam. And it will boot you.
This one has an eloquent and well thought out response to tha... Ooh sweetroll!

This is a known issue, in the Console Known Issue thread..... which I can't seem to find :/
Anyone got a link to that?

Basically, it's 100% unrelated to messaging/voice chat/anything communication related. It's because of random lag spikes due to either your ISP or the servers themselves, and it essentially causes a ton of your previous actions to flood the server all at one time. This causes the server to question how you are doing dozens of actions within split second of each other, therefore it kicks you just in case you are a bot.

But yea, known issue, they are trying to fix it, if not already fixed it for the next patch. It says in that thread I can't find.
English is not my first language, Finnish is.
Please don't heap on me for grammar problems.

it happen when some combination of keys are hitten several time in a short time, at least it happend to mee on pc. is not a case you where on combat.
i think is just a security factor to do not over charge the server response.

Hi. It happens to us PC people too. Sometimes I am just sitting there, doing nothing. Nothing at all. And then I'll get this spam message and.. booted to login. Irritating to say the least.
Disabling the grass may improve performance.

disable your add-ons.....oh wait...uhhh....I don't have the new excuse for it so just think of it as the game doing you a favor and reminding you it is time for a bathroom break
"it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days." - Matt Firor
