So, after I chose RUN in the guard chat box, I have been getting slaughtered ever since. I somehow managed to rack up a 4k bounty and have been paying it off slowly ever since. It seems like a ridiculous consequence for a new player to have to endure, I am coming on level 10 and I still haven't gotten it below 2k. Apparently quest choices raise your bounty as well. I understand I was a bad boy and killed a 61 citizens, and close to 100 livestock, but the punishment for these crimes completely erase any enjoyment or satisfaction I had from committing mass murder. The entire pay the fine/be executed on sight for the rest of your life is not the ESO experience I was expecting. If I didn't already have the name War Criminal, I would have just deleted this character and started another one. Having to pay a 4k bounty at level 2 is about as crappy as it gets.
Maybe ESO could include a tutorial about Justice instead of just saying, oh wow, you killed NPCs, now you have to pay 4k or be executed on sight for the remainder of the game, or until you hit level 15 and manage to pay off your debts...
I salute my Half Life War Boys, who will ride with me eternal on the highways of Valhalla. I am your redeemer. It is by my hand you will rise from the ashes of this world.
