What am I missing here?

So I got to VR11, have done every quest in all areas and finished Cadwell's Gold, got all striking locales across Tamriel etc. Looking forward to carrying on in Craglorn. First quest I get slaughtered again and again, ask in guild, "ah that's all group stuff m8, don't even think about going there unless you are in a group".

Really? so that's it then? Cyrodill I know there are quests but reaching them without getting sniped or ganked is very tedious and if you die you have to go right back to the entry waypoint. I'm not into pvp much, my RL is too busy with kids, work and phone to sit around for hours making groups for Craglorn. I've killed every miniboss and done every dolmen, got to level 50 in my chosen crafts, so what else is there to do?

Is it possible to do Craglorn as a single player, will they change it to single player difficulties? Are the new zones being added also pvp or group?

I'm very disappointed today and tempted to cancel my subscription but I'm just wondering if there's something else I've missed?

Certainly not interested in rolling another character and doing it all again.

Any advice or guidance is welcome.

You're over-exaggerating just a large bit here. I went from VR11-V13 doing all Cyrodiil quest hubs and delves without seeing more than 3 enemy players the entire time. Just pick a lowly populated campaign. As for Craglorn, it's pretty easy to group up with 1 or 2 others and quest. You can also grind the last bit in a day.

Thanks for your sarcasm but it's not required. From time to time I get the chance to group with my guild but my personal life makes this difficult for reasons I'm not prepared to get into. I just found it strange that an entire zone would be for groups only. I play other MMOs but there it's much easier to group, you just queue up and when there's enough people you begin the raid, here the group finder is not very good and many of the guild members are busy doing other things or the level is not right etc.

Some of Craglorn can be solo-ed but maybe not with your first attempt at building a character. :)

There are only actually a couple of quests that have mechanics that require a 4 man group.

Try soloing some of the creature mobs to start out, if you cannot survive them you will never manage the humanoid mobs.

My first point of call would be to doublecheck my Achievements.....

Make sure I have done all the VR Public Dungeons and not missed any bosses/group challenges.

Make sure I have done all the VR Exploration achievements. Ie not missed any Delves.

Make sure I have done all the VR Dolmens and WB(3 and 6 per area respectively)

Check I've done the Questing Achievements, there is one for each VR area.

Hopefully you might find a few missed XP in that lot.

Also don't forget the daily Undaunted Pledges they give pretty good XP too :)

Large chunks if not most of craglorn is soloable, but you need to come prepared for it. Make sure you have good regens and have plans for mitigating damage as well as self healing. As everything has alot of hp a bunch of key fights can eventually boil down to whether you can sustain the fight long enough to whittle down your enemies, rather then having amazing dps.

This game has little solo content for end game. It basically requires us to group at that point. Do writs and gather matts and the cyrodiil quests are all that is solo at your level.

Actually another good little XP earner, depending on your skill, is the Daedric Lord Slayer achievement.....

You'll find it under Dolmens in the Achievements list.

If you still have Generals to find and can solo VR8/9/10 area Dolmens then make yourself a little route and just keep doing it until you have collected them all!!

Theses Generals drop in specific areas up to level 50 BUT once you hit VR areas you have a chance of any General at any Dolmen.......

The mobs you kill whilst doing this soon start to add up.

I completed this on one of my characters the other day(It did take 2 days of constant Dolmens though) and actually found it very satisfying. :)

Yep, I have 2 characters that are stuck on the Craglorn quests. Too hard to get a reliable, steady group to do them, even with a guild.
I ended up filling in the last couple of levels on my last Vet with my PVP guild in Cyro, did well enough with that.

You can solo craglorn with a good build. A couple quests require more people to complete though, just the quest mechanics.

I would recommend grouping with one or two other people to do craglorn. It was meant for four people but is very easy with that many.

Its time to start grouping though. Otherwise when you hit VR14 you'll be asking the same thing.

The only light at the end of the tunnel for pure solo people is that the next zone is supposed to be a solo zone.

The part in bold means that if you haven't killed any generals (or only a handful) you might as well go to the higher level dolmens to start your general hunting, but it also unfortunately means that once you're down to only needing a few specific generals you're better off going to a pre-vet zone to find that specific general.

I disagree, I had over half of them when I started the other day, as I said took me 2 days but the extra cp's made it worth having a few repeats.

I did all the last ones in the Rift(VR10).

The Ever-Open Eye took me longest, well it was the last one to drop, that was what ran me into the second day. :)

Edit:- I was enlightened the whole time too so that will have boosted my xp/cp gains.

When I say you're better off going to a pre-vet zone for a specific general, I'm speaking purely in terms of your odds of getting the general you need. If you don't mind having to do a lot more dolmens in order to get the achievement, then yes it's better to do the ones in your Gold zones because that way you'll be earning XP while you do it.

There are also achievements for releasing a certain number of pinions at dolmens (I don't remember how many) and for completing a certain number of dolmens (again, I don't remember how many), and for completing every dolmen in Tamriel. Those are all some cool things to chase, and the majority of it can be done in your vet zones.

@Mathius_Mordred We're sitting in the same boat; I wait for the day Craglorn will have an option to solo it.
I LOVE this zone, it's so beautiful and I'd love to travel and quest in there all day long, but without being grouped, no way.
I mean, I even die when I want to pick up the enchanter survey near the middle of Spellscar, even all 3 of my VR14 characters die there. I don't even fight back anymore, it's not worth the effort.
So yeah, having the option to solo it would be awesome!
In the meantime, I level my other characters to VR14 to at least get their Tamriel Hero like the first 3. There's not much else to do.

As @UrQuan said there are a few Dolmen achievements.....

As was mentioned earlier check all your achievements.........

You could have lots of hidden xp/cp's in there, especially if you can complete them in VR areas.....

Also if you are missing anything from Coldharbour, that will also give you xp as most of the stuff there is considered to be within 5 levels of level 50....

I realised the other day I had some minor quests, WB's and 2 Delves in Coldharbour I had not done on one of my VR14's, I got a surprising amount of CP's from completing them :)

I realised the other day I had some minor quests, WB's and 2 Delves in Coldharbour I had not done on one of my VR14's, I got a surprising amount of CP's from completing them :)
Oh, and I could be wrong on this, but if there are any world bosses, dolmens, or delves that you haven't completed in your starting alliance zones, even though as VR you won't get XP for killing stuff there, I think you still get completion XP for doing them.

If you do go back and do those things, though, try to be considerate of any players nearby who are actually of the appropriate level, and don't just faceroll everything without letting them make a meaningful contribution. My favorite ways to do this are to either just sit back and heal or buff the players of the appropriate level, letting them do all the actual fighting, or to strip naked and just punch things without using any weapons or skills.

Congrats. You have finished the single play part of this mmo. You should try an actual single player game. Much more rewarding for single players...

I only play ESO because it is the only new Elder Scrolls game for consoles, and will be for the next couple of years. The moment a real Elder Scrolls game hits, I imagine ESO will be in for a world of hurt when the solo players do leave.

You only need wait untill Nov 10th for a lot of the solo players to leave.

I'd be interested to know the least populated campaigns (XBOX NA)? I also had NO idea that Aldmeri was soooo popular a faction (I'm DC).

I feel your pain. I don't have the kind of time req'd to group and don't want to for fear of unexpectedly having to bail cause my kid got somethin' jammed up his nose that shouldn't be there - lol!

Seriuosly tho, I'd like to see some solos in Craglorn or maybe some shorter quests?
