RUDE PS4 players!

There are a lot of nice/helpful players on the PS4 server. But then again there are tons of RUDE people that open chests or mine ore or take quest items while your fighting instead of helping. I guess its the sign of the times we live in.

P.S. I could count on one hand how many rude people that I ran into on EQOA. But then again that was PS2 and the year 2003.

    yes, times. entitled little *****.

It's the same on PC. Give it a month or two and half of them will have quit at least ;)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I understand where you are coming from because i experienced it myself but i doubt ALL of them are being rude intentionally. Some are probably oblivious to how the game system like chest looting works or some just wish to completely ignore the MMO elements of the game because they are just so use to the single player experience in an Elder scrolls game.

At least this is how i choose to look at things, I'm not denying the fact there are some real *** people out there but players are still free to do whatever they want as long as it falls in line with the "rules" and "policies". To them, it is still "fair game".

Yep people are going to play how ever they want to play and unless your griefing you can pretty much do what you want. But trust me they know what they are doing by level 10 or so. They just choose to be idiots.

Very frustrating indeed. Its even worst with the voice chat and the amount of kiddies getting into the game.

How is that rude if they're not in a group with you? Locked chests and ore are first come first serve so naturally someone soloing will try to snatch them first. I always help players fight things but I don't expect the same in return from strangers.

When you're fighting mobs more or less right on top of the chest or resource node and someone comes to snag it while you're busy fighting... It's pretty obvious that you were fighting to get the chest/node, and it's pretty rude to grab it. Not against the rules or anything, just rude.

Yeah that's a D move to do but the OP sounded more upset that players won't help in a fight.

Those people that do that is in rush to hit max lvl as fast as the can but those people are in all mmo no matter what mmo game you are playing but as Psychobunni say those people well mostlike be gong in a few month anyway.

    PS4 EU

    Morning/evening all. :)
It is as you say Blissa, but thankfully in the minority. :)

My experience thus far is varied when questing. Many folk will team up with me once they realise I am happy to help them fight enemies.

Some just rush past and grab everything while I am fighting. Others will run past, see me fighting, and come back to help.

I used to hesitate , in solo, to help others early on in the game, mainly because I wasn't sure how the EXP points worked and didn't want to stop them getting those points. Now of course I understand how it works and that by helping I am not depriving anyone.

Tis true there are some 'idiot' PS4 players out there for sure. Bit there are idiot players on all platforms methinks.

Are you one of those guys who tries to fight multiple mobs at once and then gets mad when players like me don't help you because we don't want to die? I've seen this in 3 public dungeons so far and it gets really old and annoying. It goes something like this:

Step 1: See a group of enemies you probably will have slightly difficult time fighting.
Step2: Instead of strategizing, leroy jenkins then realize you are about to die.
Step 3: Try to run away and end up pulling aggro on other mobs.
Step 4: Die and get mad at the player who planned ahead and went through the mobs carefully so he could survive to pick up that skyshard.

Welcome to MMO's. Best advice , grow a thicker skin or give up on playing games online. The good news , this won't happen all the time. The bad , it's going to happen again and a lot.

Those are some serious rose tinted glasses you're wearing. Pubbies are pubbies and always have been. I've had a policy of avoiding contact with anyone not in my guild or friends list since Quake 3 was new. And console kiddies are the worst of the worst as far as randoms go. But on the bright side it could be worse. At least this isn't CoD.

I could eventually understand th kicking but what's the point of being rude ?

(now that I've read that I'll be careful to never group you for anything no matter what).

Once they hit the VR ranks a ton of people will leave. Then the real community will form. Same on PC at release. Same on any mmo since I started playing them in 1997 Ultima Online. It will even out. But you still will have the rude people that has been the trend in MMO's since WoW. IMO it's the solo play no one cares if they are rude because they need no one in game. In EQ and DAoC you needed the other players so you tended to not be a jack ass.

I do have one pet peeve in PS4 non vet PVP.

Stop stealing my siege when I roll out of a red circle aimed at it for a couple seconds.

Ok to take it if I die though.

    .

Lotta that in the PC too. Xbox 1 I imagine. People are just inconsiderate toward others. It's sad indeed.

People often zoom towards ores and chests and well anything they can grab on PC as well, so I wouldn't think much of it. The console crowd can be a little more rowdy, but if you ignore those who are trying to be intentionally offensive (moreso over mic and in-game pestering), they'll eventually get bored and go away.
