Bloodfiend locations in Riften

I cannot seem to find ANY bloodfiends anywhere in the rift. I've checked the moon cycles and I know I'm in the right cycle atm, I just can't seem to find any. I've tried different websites, and going to those places they marked on the map, but nothings ever there when I go to those places. In a single night, I'll visit 8 or 9 "spawn" places but I can't ever seem to find any. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I thought if the moons were just a sliver or full covered (aka new moon) that's when bloodfiends come out?

I also was looking for Bloodfeinds for weeks on end with no success on my lvl 22 Argonian Warlock.

This morning I decided to give up and decided to give one last try by the windmill (close to the Skald's Retreat wayshrine) I was knocked off of my horse by a pack of Bloodfiends.

This confirmed for me that the moon cycle doesn't matter at all. Just search and keep searching and don't give up.

I'm at work right now and can't wait to get home and sink my teeth (hehe) into my new vamp!

yeah moon cycle doesn't really matter. What matters is the fact that people find them get infected and then kill the bloodfiends. Becuase their being killed is what knocks out the spawning. I got infected this morning in rift same place HooLeeYo mentions in his post, i was checking to make sure i the vampirism when i naturally died lol. However a vet rank 4 popped up and proceeded to kill the bloodfiends, had they been left they would have spawned the next night.

You have to understand how vampirism is designed. It is designed that you need to get a bite from another player. This is designed in such a way the dissease is rare. The bloodfiends are only there to have a small amount of players getting infected so the dissease keeps spreading and doesnt die out. It is not THE way to get it and it is designed to be something that just happens to you (random thing that you can't plan)

There is no confirmation bout the moment they spawn and the locations. Many info is over a year old from the time the pc game just launched. Cause changes to the system are not documented in the update notes and cause after a few months on the pc, nobody cared anymore cause the population of wolves and vamps was high enough to get a bite very easily, all stopped caring.

So we know there once was an indication that spawn moments had to do with lunar cycles, but how it exactly worked has never been clear. To be more precise. There has always been doubt.
There where some locations where they where known to spawn, but they seem to have moved.

bottom line is that it is way easier to get a bite (for free) from a fellow players. The best way to do so is to join a guild for it. there are guilds specialised in this.

The place to find a way to get a vampire bite is to go to Fallowstone wayshrine in the Rift,and wait to talk to a Vampire.Theres usually a couple hanging around there.Ask them to bite you,or failing that,ask if they'll take you to their shrine.Ask those hanging there,and they should just give you a bite. They did me for two chars,and it cost me nothing.
