My husband and I have been playing ESO since it came out last week for PS4 and we're loving it. I'll admit to playing more than he has been

But it's a very fun game and scratches my RPG spot.

There are, however, a few interface issues which we've noticed which could be smoothed out. These are individually small issues, but all together they damage the enjoyment of the gameplay experience.
* Foremost is being put in area chat after a loading screen. Hubby doesn't play with a headset on, so his TV is very loud, and the noises coming over other people's mics are annoying, obnoxious, or downright painful (in the case of feedback). I play with the audio through my headset (the better to hear the nirnroot) so I get all that nonsense right in my ear.
Please make joining any chat optional, not automatic.
*
The stacking issue with traded and stolen items needs to be dealt with. We can split stacks but we can't combine stacks, what's up with that?
* Speaking of bag space,
Quest items and non-transferrable maps, etc., need to be taken out of the bag space. In FFXI they had a thing called "Key Items", maps, quest items, keys, that sort of thing. You couldn't trade them, but they didn't taken up space in your bag. A solution like that would be nice.
* It would be nice to have a log of completed quests. I know there's the quest achievement list, but it doesn't state which quests have been completed. A simple "R1" (or similar buttons for PC/Xbox) tab at the top of the quest journal could show us which quests have been completed. So then Hubby and I could compare our quests easier, since the names in the quest line change constantly.
That's about all that comes to mind, right now. As I said, the most annoying thing is the automatic area chat. If I want to talk to random, heavy breathing strangers on the internet, I'll do so voluntarily. I don't need to be pushed into it
