Excessive bounties taking to long to decay.

This happened to my friend and I figured I would post it here. My friend littelwolf on xb1 was waiting for a queue for Cyrodiil got bored and went on a murder spree. Something not uncommon in games like skyrim. After he was killed by a guard he thought it would reset. He then figured out it wont. Acording to the in game decay timer we did the math and his 110k bounty will take 3 days and 4 hours to fully decay. Thus making the game unplayable until then. I feel like there should be an alternate way to help decay you bounty such as mining, woodcutting, or other types of labor for a city.

If he didn't have enough gold on him to pay for the bounty when the guard killed him it will not reset. They will keep killing him on site until the bounty is paid or he sits out the timer. The timer is fine as it is, plus he made the choice to go killing npc's and getting caught over and over again

To get 110k bounty you need to slaughter quiet many innocents, so in my opinion the punishment is fair.
Btw. you can still play the game, as long as you hide while being in towns. Questing might be difficult, but you can still do dungeons, pvp, dark anchors, world bosses and probably even some quests.

Although it may be "appropriate" it's been 12 days and he's at 12k still seems like a long time

Going on a murder spree because you are bored does sound like a thing that should be punished in a "Justice system", doesn't it? However, the dire consequences of having a large bounty could be better explained in the game. Many players seem to fall into this trap.

There's always been a moral aspect to the series, heavily skewed to 'good,' unlike Mass Effect/Dragon Age and Fable. While ESO makes the moral quest choices less of an impact (if not at all, in quite a few-- rewards that is), they're still expecting you to be the 'good' character, hence the ridiculous wait time for bounties. Either pay the guard while loosing your stolen items, die, or run to an outlaw bunker and pay the fine.

Should have had to have waited longer if you ask me. Maybe now he will think twice before being irrational and taking his boredom out on inoccents.
If you like, have been inspired by or agree with the threads I start, please take your time to check an option at the bottom of the post, thanks! :') ;)
