Any female guilds?

I'm a casual girl gamer playing on the EU server. I so far haven't come across a single girl playing this game. I think it would be awesome if I could find a band of chicks raiding across Cyrodil, but I don't think that exists. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

There is one called "Mara's Moxie" but i don't know if they are on XBox.

I know they have a Facebook page, might want to search for them there ...

Just read a few more threads.. especially the 'I want my money back' ones.. plenty of sissies on there. That said, you might be right, as I don't think I have heard a girl/woman in and around Glenumbra yet! Plenty of female characters, and I am sure not all are guys.

    What a bizarre question.

The characters are either male or female. The players are either for either.

There's no way to confirm which the player is without getting to know them outside the game, and so why do you want to join a guild under the pretense that they all claim to be something that you don't know without knowing them anyway, and furthermore, what's the point?

It's like dividing the player base in half and saying you want to hang out with the ones that say they are a thing that I am.

    Ah. It goes in circles.

If you are an rper, then the player behind the char has nothing to do with the char, and if you aren't an rper, then you're just player hanging out with player, so then in that case why does it matter?

I think it is a fairly valid question/request.. you have people wanting all sorts of peculiarities.. why not this? Actually, why not make your own Guild, and make it for girls only, I'm sure there are some that would join.

Because it's singling out possible players to interact with based on faulty and irrelevant criteria that can't be verified until you already know those players in real life.

If she wants to roll around with chicks in Tamriel, find some chick -characters- in Tamriel who rp/present as chicks. It makes no difference in the game world what the player is.

It's like saying Queen Ayreen isn't a female because a male designer wrote the character.

Surely. Doesn't make it any less strange that people still have these odd restricting views, to me.

Consoles have only voice chat. You know immediately.

There are tons of female players on PC, so I suspect consoles have a them too. Maybe they're just quiet. Don't know about any guild though, sorry.

The point is not being a minority or the only girl in the guild. It's a lot nicer, in my own experience, being in a guild that has other female players around. You can be yourself to a much larger degree.

Not because you get sexually harassed, bullied or other exaggerated crap that pretty much never occurs, but because female presence affects the atmosphere in a way where you feel a lot more welcome and part of the group.

When a guild is sausage fest, all about bro, brah, dudes, my boys, guys and literally every conversion in TS/chat is from a males perspective, its easy to feel a bit left out being female. Constantly having to sit there and laugh and pretend that Seth Rogan is the funniest guy in the world, to avoid being a boring buzz kill. It gets tiresome after a while. How dudes only talk about and praise other dudes pretty much 24/7. You and your entire gender is invisible, unless Victoria Secret hot.

Anyway, that's why I prefer being in mixed gender guilds.

Not sure I get the deal with 100% female guilds tho. Being in a guild with players having similar interest, seems a lot more fulfilling than only going by gender.

It's simply the desire to play with the same gender. I see your point though. There isn't really a way to truly confirm irl gender. Even through voice chat. I just wanted to play with some girls for a change, there aren't many out there in this game it seems.

Thanks for responding. I can kinda see that, now. I tend to avoid those types (the brah, cool guy/person epic I'm awesome types) from either gender, and thus it matters not for me. I think those kind of guys are really weird (guy myself, but not into that whole dude thing).

Yeah, that kinda makes RP either impossible or difficult or just, very watered-down on console, in my opinion. Wouldn't be too terribly interested in that experience. I don't mean just for gender or guys playing gals. When you see some epic warrior guy speaking with modern-day English teenager voice, you know, the immersion..

Exactly. And it doesn't HAVE to be an all girls guild, but man is it hard to find girls to play with.

Your opinion is valid! But still, what I'm saying is, there is a weird disconnect of ideas out there about gender playing opposite gender. It's like there is this concept that some folks can't view the character as a character in itself, but they can do that just fine in a book and think (man that girl is cool/hot), even though a male wrote her and all her lines and how she looks. See what I mean?

There are a lot of gals in game.

However I admit that the more ... boob oriented names are likely to be young and not female...
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Most of the members in the "Mara's Moxie" guild (which is an all female only guild) are also members in two of my other guilds (which are mixed). I have known most of them since early beta and we chat in-game almost daily.

I can completely understand their desire to have a dedicated guild (and probably more importantly guild chat!).

There are plenty of females in my guilds. Why would you want to join a guild that only has females? Is there something specific that female gamers need to discuss that they don't want male gamers to know?
