NPC voices not working and all character sound effects gone !! Help!!!

I just bought ESOTU last night, created a character. When I entered the tutorial, none of the sound effects for my character or other characters are working. I CANNOT hear any sound effects or the NPC voices. I can only read the dialogue. Their mouths aren't even moving. I've restarted my xbox several times, unplugged it and waited, I've done power cycling, I've done everything put take the game back. Nothing works. It does it in both servers and on any character I create. HELP!!!

have you tested the sound on a different game or something like netflix? and not to insult your intelligence or anything but you have confirmed that all sound settings are working? When i hear a problem like this i have to think that is not the game ans something with the system or something connected to it like headsets or tvs.

Erm, you should start with mentioning your platform. Nobody will be able to help if you don't provide this basic info.

He or she mentioned a xbox, this could be a hint

I'm not on console, but just recently I've encountered this very same issue on PC, too. Mostly, the sound (voices and everything else) works fine, and then suddenly it happens that an NPC doesn't say a word nor moves their mouth when I'm in the dialogue window. Not sure where this issue is coming from, I haven't changed anything in the settings.
Also, it ocassionally happens that NPCs skip sentences nowadays. When they're in the middle of a sentence (outside of the dialogue window), they stop and move on to the next sentence. Really odd.

Same exact thing happened to me on xbox one. I just took the disk out and put it back in and it's been working fine for a couple days now.
