I have had two friends ask about the PC version of ESO and if there is a free trial to try the game out. I think a focus of ours as a community and responsibility as a "good" gaming citizen is to try bringing new players to the game. I think not only offering a free 7 day Trial to the game (Can easily disable trade stores, general chat, and other features if you fear Farmer abuse), but also encouraging players to recruit fellow gamers by offering in game cosmetic rewards like other MMOs do (Mounts, pets, titles, etc). Please take a moment of your time to express your feelings on this subject so we can bring some more visibility to it.

If forum users who vote Yes don't have to explain why they voted yes, I don't see why those who vote No should have to explain.

Unfortunately you can't edit the Original Post in a Poll but I also put i bold print a statement that's relevant to both sides of the party.

If I really wanted to introduce the game to my friends, I'd say come over and watch me play, and maybe let them roll up a character and play it for a bit.

Some of us grown ups have friends that live half way across the country. At no point did I imply my friends live nearby and come over after school to drink mountain dew and play video games...

And some of us are capable of using a combination of internet, skype and streaming to share experiences with friends who are a time zone or a continent away.

And dew? Never! I get my caffeine the old fashioned way: coffee!
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Honestly, I'm all for the public test server being available to everyone for free, and then wiping the player data every week.

    ^This I would 100% support
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

No this game will not be as good, if it becomes F2P. So that is what made so many other MMO'S F2P.

It's unnecessary I believe, since the game does not have a subscription needed to play it.

    Wow.

You realize you DO need to drop like 70 bucks on the game though, right?

Well it is 60 bucks or more for most retail games where I live, and those games do not have a "recruit-a-friend" system.. The only place it makes sense are where you also have a mandatory subscription like in a game such as World of Warcraft. They already do the free weekends occassionally so this whole thread is ultimately pointless.
